Chapter2 Gameplay preview

I'd like to show a preview of chapter2 (not sure if it can play as an embed on patreon, if not, follow the link into youtube (click watch on youtube).

This contains a 2 min. preview of the first moments of chapter 2. Spoilers are almost non-existent so dont worry. It's mainly to showcase some stuff I've been working on that will shift the Visual Novel a bit into "game" category.

Most of the stuff here are still bound to change, especially the dialogue, transitions, and the icons. ...

New character sneak peek.

Happy Valentine's Day.

Well, at least from where I am, it was already the 14th about 9 hours ago. Here's some experiments I did with isometric views to celebrate the occasion. Wishing everyone some romantic action, or just a lovely day if you aren't into that.

(For Silver and Gold - the original render sizes(twice as large) are in the Silver folder in the google drive called Valentine's 2023).

Lance in 4k.

I got carried away with hair and added hair to his entire body. I swear this new hair system in blender is very good. The hairs move with the contour changes of the model without having to weight them yourself, making it super easy. The 4k version is attached below, not the one on the cover. The hair system surprisingly renders very fast, too. In this resolution it rendered at 3minutes. But it went to 18 minutes once I added that volumetric effect at the bottom.

A concept art...And more facelift.

I'd like to share some art I made for the VN. You've seen the first one. It's Aaron's wings....I do hope you've encountered it in-game. If not, it's the other choice you make in the very last scene.....You could see how different the final one turned out - with more grotesque angles and shapes.

I've done some updates to the characters' faces and textures and I'll post the rest of them here later. For now here's Evan's updated face(2nd pic). The difference might be a bit jarring especially if you see them side by side.

I've been making these in between rendering for the main VN, as I do tend to get overwhelmed when working on it non-stop. So making these is sort of my break from all that.

December Status Update: Featuring hair and new faces.

I'm well underway rendering for the main visual novel and I don't want to spoil anything. But you'll meet one of the people showcased in the video above. I think, I've already spoiled it but it's the parole officer - the buff bald guy in the video.

Animation Tests - NSFW

Practicing more animation. If I get these in a good enough polish, I'll start incorporating videos as bonus content(another one coming later next week) and in the VN itself. Not a lot - just some select scenes. (Android version has a limit of 2gb file size that I have to watch out for.) This was rendered in different fps slowed down a bit, that's why they're wonky in terms of framrate. I also focused more on the faces which is why I missed a lot of clipping issues with the hands. Small news.

Finally got a new GPU and tested rendering out some scenes. My render times before were at 10-15 minutes per frame. Now it's 70-110 seconds. This should help me get content out faster and better. I render a lot of stuff that's bad and keep reiterating and improving the shot until it's better. This will accelerate that process. So, thank you everyone. I'm still finalizing my script for the next update and fixing some models so I'll do those bonus content in the meantime.

Refocusing my efforts on Patreon

Hello everyone. I took a break for a short while to gather my senses. I was feeling a little burned out so I felt some break was needed. This is why I have been late on a lot of bonus content I've planned. But now I'm back. I'm also refocusing my efforts on Patreon. Sorry I've neglected this for a while. I've been on a misguided effort to focus my marketing on twitter and itch. The analytics in those sites have said that these efforts haven't really paid off. I'm left wondering why...

Some 4k renders for all

I haven't rendered anything in 4k at all for this entire project. Here are some test renders of all characters in varying outfits from a full detective trenchcoat to nothing but a pair of shoes. No full frontal yet as I'm reworking some of them for better performance during posing, etc.

I'm doing a more NSFW batch later when those are done for the upper tiers.
