Huntress Spanks Black Canary

When this piece was done, I had been re-reading Fall of the Mutants again and really wanted to do a strip based on that. Even then, I was still struggling with Rogues face. This one doesn't look terrible, but definitely not what I wanted. I hope everyone likes this old piece and I wanted to include it in my Back Catalog for Rogue Week. I also went back and separated this one to see the individual layers. I wasn't happy with the word balloons and some of the script, so I fi...

I thought this one looked nice back when I did it. I remembered doing the piece, then going out of town for Thanksgiving, in which I bought a new computer and 4K monitor for Black Friday. Before that, I was using a laptop to do all my work. Seeing this one on the new gear really popped and I thought, wow! this one is better looking than I thought. As I continued to use the new system, which I still use today, the piece just looked flat compared to the newer pieces I was do...

I decided to old school. Not OLD old school, but 80s old school. You know me, my golden age is that sweet spot from 82ish to 89ish. I myself thought the Neary Ms. Marvel look was hot since The Thing #35. As for Black Widow, this is the costume that I always relate to the character. I didn't read the Champions back in the day and I really am not impressed with the current version. It was that grey costume and short hair from the Official Handbook to the Marvel Un...

Continuing to parody current Marvel Legacy stuff, I decided to do the latest issue of Spider-Man. I really like the Sinister Six, and the new team, especially Bombshell and Francine Frye's Elctro...Go figure are Hot! This scenario came to me instantly when I was reading this book.
I'm hoping at least some of the people who are following my work are staying up-to-date with the new Marvel Stuff otherwise these parodies might fall flat. Despite all of the shit-storms on the internet regarding Mar...

One such book and especially one such character is Vivian Vision. I totally created my Midas character way before I even heard of this character, but when I discovered her, I had to shake my fists at the ceiling and swear like a sailor. Like I was saying, I just started to get into her from the Avengers and Champions comics, when BAM! the High-Evolutionary...SPOILER ALERT! turns her into a real girl. At least that's how I took it. The new Champions isn't out yet to see what exactly happened, ...

I have always liked the line-art on this piece, but the colors were dodgy. Also, the lack of heavy blacks contributed to the piece looking washed out. Just look at the original version of this piece. I decided to go back; which I am doing with all of my back catalog, and remastering them with the new techniques and color palette. Now Storm and She-Hulk really pop!
This version of Storm with the Mohawk and punk costume is my favorite version of the character. This is ...

I completely forgot about Kitty and Illyana being BFFs, so I had to do a little refresher. I think I've only drawn Magik once before traditionally, so this was fun. I put them in the New Mutants costumes, because I like those, especially on Kitty.

(Here's my original description blurb):
So I know the Huntress is pretty far down on everyone's favorites list; however, in researching Power Girl, who seems to be much farther up, I came across the Power Girl and Huntress Feature in the back of some old Wonder Woman Comics. Specifically, most of the issues towards the end of Vol 1. There awesome!
I was also at the comic shop last week with my son looking for his Black Manta action figure, which they sold and b...

As the caption in the strip explains, I didn't want to miss the opportunity to utilize that boob-window, so I figured I would let them puppies out for a little while. People seem to like both boobs and butts, so what better way to feature...The Best of Both Worlds.

For this strip I decided to go deep...no pun intended. I started reading Wonder Woman back from issue #204 of volume 1, although it says vol. 32 in the indecia. Not sure what's up with that. Anyway this was back in 1973, the year I was born incidentally, but when Wonder Woman had been saved from the "Mod" WW.
I like those older issues, which is optimizes WW to me. I liked the second series, started by George Perez and the Adam Hughes Covers around the year 2000, but ...

I wasn't overly familiar with Fury. I had seen her in the DC Who's Who and new she was in the JSA, but that was about it. I didn't even know she was Diana's daughter. So, I had to do my homework on this one, but as always happens, I ended up reading a bunch of Infinity Inc. comics from 1984. I really like the art in those books and I want to come back and do a Jade piece at some point. I also wasn't aware that Todd Mcfarlane did a good run on that book as well.
Anyway, I hope I di...

I went back to The Uncanny X-Men #131, which featured both the White Queen in her classic appearance as well as Kitty. I have always been a little perplexed why Byrne put Kat in the Quasi-FF costume, but I wanted to stay true to form with this strip. Had to ditch Frost's fur cape. I guess I could have draped it to the side, but oh well.
Sorry about if I got a little "Prog Rocky" with putting the YES song in the caption, but I was listening to the tune when I was doin...

I've finally found a Fire & Ice comic that inspired me to do a strip. I had been pouring over JLI comics, because I prefer there original costumes. Why? they show more skin of course. However, I don't mind their "newer" ones, especially when drawn by Adam Hughes, who I assume designed the new outfits.
I have always gravitated towards JLA #31; because, it's drawn by Hughes, as I mentioned before and because of the cover. I have a few other ideas from this book as well featuring the female D...

This strip is based on Justice League International Special #1 from 1989. I was re-reading the JLI books then, when I forgot how good they really were. Keith Giffon's writing was awesome! I loved the humor and the character line-up.
At the time, I had been wanting to do Fire and Ice strip, but hadn't come up with a good script. This was done before I did "Wardrobe Malfunction". I figured this was a nice way to do Fire first, seeing she is my favorite of the two. I re...

I was just reading Mister Miracle Volume 2 #25 from the late 80s, which featured Big Barda as a professional wrestler, so I thought this would be a perfect time to parody that comic. In the original, Barda is supposed to wrestle Mama Mounds, who is wearing a quasi-Wonder Woman costume. I did the ol' switch-a-roo, to be more in line with my DC/Marvel crossovers. Besides, She-Hulk wearing WW's costume is pretty hot!
I admit, for being in lust with Big Barda, I she...

One of my favorite X-men comics is issue #143, which features Kitty Pryde home alone at the Xavier Mansion on Christmas. Obviously, she doesn't celebrate Christmas, because she's Jewish, which makes total sense why she doesn't go with the rest of the team. This was always a book I would like to read around Christmas as a teen. Then of course my day-dreaming would drift into your typical teenage lust for young Kitty, who was about my age at the time. Not of the publication ...
