ROUNDUP: December, Week 3

1. Winter Waterfall (Kelda): This was originally an animation  -- It was Kelda looking back at a waterfall with autumn leaves falling all around her and also floating down the river. It took me so long to finish that fall is long over and I made it a winter scene instead. I've drawn Kelda frozen solid for the winter, but not still awake and roving around. Had fun painting the background, too, but I need more practice!

1. Hsien-ko (Darkstalkers) -- I can't believe I've never drawn her before! She's such a great design. Glad I got the chance with this commission.

2. KDA Ahri + Christmas version (League of Legends) -- I made a real attempt to play Mid for awhile and Ahri was my go-to. Mostly because I pulled an Arcade Ahri skin from one of those Twitch Prime loot things. It didn't go well and I'm going to stick to Support. ; _ ;

1. Casual Samus (Metroid) -- This started as a redesign of my old Winter Samus art for a new print, trying to update her wardrobe a bit to incorporate elements of the Power Suit from Dread. After I sketched it out I thought, "actually, this is kinda cool all by itself" so I sketched out a rear view as well and cleaned/colored it. The kanji on the back of her jacket is the Japanese term for Chozo.

I'm finally back to making original art! I've missed it so much. In order to get back in the swing of things, I gave myself some restrictions:

1. Square canvas.    2. Limited color palette.    3. Randomly generated prompts.

Based on those guidelines, the first four pieces are what I did this week.

I can finally share the artwork I did for Lobos Jr.! He wanted a new shirt design for his shop, and I wanted something I could also make into a print -- since he's well known as a streamer of FromSoftware/Soulsborne games, I did this collage of female characters from the series.

I finished a really cool piece this week, but it's for a T-shirt design that hasn't been revealed yet and I can't share it right now. I'll also have it available as a signed print in my own shop! I hope you'll enjoy it when I can post it.
