WIP#3 - Sakura Onsen 2022

I am happy to say, I finally finished linearting all the characters in this onsen drawing!!!

What initially thought to be just re-lining all character with maybe a couple of small fixes, ends up being a full-scale redraw… I honestly didn’t expect literally all characters have very noticeable errors, I guess this is what happens when the drawing get upscale sooo much huh… XD

Especially for the back girls on the top right corner, their scaling and anatomy ratio is all over the place! After quite a lot of fixing, I can confidently say they now look a lot better!~

Ahhh finally finished!! Although not as difficult as page 3, there was still quite a bit of work on these ones… Had quite a few errors from the sketch, took me quite a bit of time to fix…

Initially I was gonna draw cityscape background on the drinking panel, but it was too much effort for such a small short… Then I thought why not use the space cat meme here~ It adds more comedy to the idea, also shows how good the drink is as he discovers such epic flavour~ XD

As expected, dam this page was difficult to draw…

Since the sketch is quite complex, it was bound to have a bunch of mistakes… Everytime as I thought I finished with the drawing, I notice mistakes here and there… end up fixing this non-stop! =3=

This time I decided to try adding some handwritten text on the drawing to make the specific dialogues pop out more~ some of the sound effects also help fill up parts of the empty space which is very nice~

Since the main pose is full body drawing, it took quite a long time lineart and colouring the girls… Although open crotch leggings is something I always want to draw, after colouring I felt it didn’t match the rest of the costume, so I had to completely redraw Richelieu’s leggings to matc...

Just a small update…

Recently I have been struggling quite a bit on depression… Feeling overwhelm by drawing, doubting my ability to draw, and just couldn’t get any motivation in life… Just very exhausted both physically and mentally….

I decided to take a few days off to relax my mind a little, play a bit of games, sit back and relax a bit… Although I am not back to 100% (since I don’t think I ever will be), I think I am better now~

Anyway, just finished with the nude colouring~ I end up colouring their hair at least twice because I was unhappy with how it looks. I also corrected the lineart on Ganyu’s hair.

Then as I finished colouring, I notice mistakes such as Ganyu’s left elbow being too narrow, and Keqing’s upper arm too long from the sketch. Hopefully majority of the mist...
