King Triton and the Lord of the Deep (Part 2) XE

So this was a bit of a painful one. I want it to be known that I did try to make an image set work with Triton's mertail intact, but try as I might I just couldn't get it to work through all the various phases.

I think if this had been a comic, it could have worked - the problem with an image set is that one pose has to be suitable for all the stages of the story. Having his lower half bound up meant it was very difficult to find a position for it that wasn't hiding too much of him at a...

King Triton absolutely killed the latest character poll! Since I've already drawn a comic with the big daddy showing Prince Eric the business, I figured it was time to show the King taken down a peg or sixty.

I was thinking hard about what might make for a good foe for the King, and given his realm under the sea (and Ursula's tentacles), I have to admit my mind went to the Lovecraftian monsters of the deep. A creature that would see King Triton's claim to sovereignty...

OK, I'll admit, I had probably a few too many ideas for the kryptonite part, more than I could neatly arrange into an image. So I took the cheap way out and labelled the text boxes to indicate what the hell the order is supposed to be! Please forgive me... I just love drawing Supes.

But I know that the men of Metropolis and the other Justice Leaguers are equally popular, so don't worry, we'll see what becomes of them before the comic wraps up!
