Jealousy

It's still unclear exactly what genetic quirk causes Maddie's bloodline to be born without a tail. While it has had no impact on Maddie's life physically, the emotional impact is made clear to Naomi every time either of them sleeps over. 

 Also yeah I wanted to expand on that character sheet meme where I revealed that Maddie nicknamed her "Ringo".
