Interlude: The Valkyrie III

It had been 9 days since Song Yuelin and Chen Haoran had left Clearsprings City. After they did, Lan Fen immediately returned to the manor to disperse her people. She had the reliance to avoid the hunt of a superior cultivator, they did not. In any case, their use was coming to an end. She could feel the wind change the moment Shen Jianyu canceled the Palace Exams.

Despite Song Yuelin’s fears, the prince took no other action after canceling the exams. There was no announcement declari...

The Laughing Monk I

It is said that every step a young cultivator takes is a step made in defiance of Heaven just as it is said that every step an old cultivator takes is in tune with Heaven. Such is the nature of cultivation, to rage against the laws of Heaven till one becomes it.

Song Yuelin had become Heaven. By that standard, it was only natural that the cultivators he looked down on would defy him.

Young Master Chen’s ploy had been clever and his decisiveness surprising. Few would think to use...

Chapter 51: This Young Master Will Explore Nature

The roar of nature filled his head and drowned out whatever other sounds there were to be heard on his way back to camp.

That was why he saw the hunt before he heard it.

The band of sloths he had first found when he entered the cavern had come to the ground for some reason. The crickets had of course wasted no time in punishing them for that decision. Eight sloths were fighting three times that number in crickets. It was a vicious fight. Though the sloths were enhanced with ...

Chapter 50: This Young Master Is Small

“Lil Float.”

The sloth ignored him.

“Slakoth.”

It coughed.

“Karn.”

The sloth hacked and threw up.

“That name was pretty disgusting, sorry.”

Chen Haoran sighed as the sloth disregarded his attempts to name it and floated away once again. He was stuck facing a philosophical reality. What was a pet? How did an animal become a pet? He couldn’t just buy the sloth, nor could he just adopt it and claim it. Was a sloth, much less a cultivati...

Chapter 49: This Young Master Is A Bachelor

The Spa Cavern, as he had taken to calling this place, had provided no answers as to its nature. All Chen Haoran knew was that it was very large and very easy to get lost in. The heavy steam from the heated spiritual pools obscured both his vision and his qi sense. It made traversing it much harder, not helped by the fact that so much of the ground was broken up by the numerous pools. Of which some, as Chen Haoran had unluckily found out, were quite literally too hot for him to handle.

Chapter 48: This Young Master Goes Spelunking

In the depths of nowhere a dark river was coursing. Out of those depths emerged an arm that blindly groped against slick cave stone. Eventually, a grip was found and Chen Haoran heaved himself out of the cold waters. He gasped and took in greedy mouthfuls of turbid air. A sharp pain ached in his ribs and he gently tested his bones, hissing in pain all the while. Not broken thankfully, but banged up. He had bet on the Wintersteel Essence Plate Armor combined with his enhanced durability to sur...

Welcome

I had no expectations when I originally started writing Immortality Starts With Generosity. Needless to say the response to it as completely blown me away and I've met so many amazing people as a result of it. It has solidified my desire to become an author and whatever may come I will do my very best to see that through.

It had always been my intention to have advanced chapters so people could read ahead. Unfortunately, certain life circumstances prevented me from properly buildi...
