Here you have photos of Katakros' color composition. If you are not sure which colors will be good for painting, you can do color sketch on the photoshop.
As I wrote at the last post, I used only a little bit red on the top of composition. But if you like to see more red color on the top and to create stronger connection with base, you can use it. You can find more examples above.

First one is my way - contrast painting - totally fantasy. Second one is more realistic and according to natural light.

This is 1st version of Katakros. For his body I wanted to use the same colors as for Gotrek Gurnisson.
The first color I used was dark green (Pthalo Green-Kimera Kolors). I wanted to see this green in the deepest shadows on his body.
For highlights on the armor I used colors one by one from photo above. First they were white and yellow (Warm Yellow-Kimera Kolors), then red (The Red-Kimera Kolors), magenta (Magenta- Kimera Kolors) and turquoise (by mixing th...

When I started to paint 1 st Katakros I used the same colors like for Gotrek Gurnison. I will share these colors on the next post.
I like these colors but in my opinion they are too saturated for this character. So I decided to use more cold colors and I repainted Katakros' body- 2 nd version.
I will share both of them with you. You can decide what colors do you like more.

Katakros-Base-Stones
Hello everyone ;)
The bottom of these stones are dark. The red and yellow colors are not cover well, so these colors are not visible on the dark surface. That's why first I used white to paint the lines on the stone. Then I used red and yellow on these white lines. Next the red and yellow color look more saturated and visible.

I wanted to paint lava between strones. At first I started to use red and yellow colors for it (warm colors), and after I use grey with violet and green colors (cold colors) for stones. I wanted to create contrast between colors.

When I painted my latest miniature, I tried to use soft grey instead of strong, saturated yellow color for armor. I wanted to see how this color looked like. Here you have photos of grey armor. I used black and white colors with inktenses on the top for painting it. After that I changed my mind and I repainted this metal. It was just an attempt to see different colors on armor.
