Heated opinion: As far as the anime goes, I absolutely love Chihiro and Shuichi together. They have a nice chemistry of two softies combating a harsh environment and learning their limits while supporting each other. I love Clair as much as the next person, but darn it, these two are so much healthier!
But we'll see how things turn out. Maybe it's not meant to be.
(One version hurts your eyes, and the other doesn't! Still figuring out how the FX in this app works, haha)
