I've been taking time away from my busy trading schedule to get this lil commission together for a returning client! I'm so happy and excited when that clients would approach me for more work of the same character! It's like getting to see them grow and change! I was approached to paint MessinwthRealty's LARP character, Hazel! I definitely followed a highly celtic/medieval motif in approaching the composition. A lot of the imagery shared in the brief put me in that visual mood- I couldn't resist!

So I sketched some harpies in my visual diary and you know that was enough to set me on a crazy Harpy Hype! This will be another print available at Conquest this year!
She's up on DBH, and as per usual- S6 is messing me all about so she will be up there in time!
With this piece I strived to create an overwhelming sense of scale for this single figure facing a big old dragon! I'm diving deep into high fantasy this month in preparation for Conquest!

I was asked to emulate a more "concept art" style for a local client. It was certainly an exercise, but I definitely don't feel as comfortable in this style. I charge more for style emulation, because it does take me a lot more brain power to stray from the rules I have developed in my own style.

Oh, Ah! A commission! This is a piece for a Vampire: The Masquerade player! The brief submitted called for the character represented as the High Priestess card of the arcana, with the symbol for her clan Lasombra, and her sect; Sabbat replacing the B and J on each of the pillars.

This was such an interesting brief! My client asked for Naleeria, our lovely draenei, to appear radiant. So of course I took on the challenge to have her be the light source in this portrait!
It's actually inspired me to play with more high fantasy imagery of glowing skin and a figure themselves being the light source in future images! An idea I'm definitely going to play with after tomorrows zine fair!

I love birbs, omigosh. I know it's a huge list at this point but they are one of my many favourite things to draw. My dad's birthday was in January, and as he has a little flock of magpies he tends to, I wanted to give him an illustration!
My family has always taken care of the local magpies, so I've spent a lot of time enjoying their company. One of the things I love about visiting my parents is hearing the magpies warbling for breakfast each morning. Gosh they are just the cutest!!!
