Die Shrink 36: Minecraft (Favorite Games)

To say Minecraft left an impression on gaming, and me and Dan – would be an understatement. It really wasn’t a kids game – it was an innovative randomly-generated survival game that really was more of a hardcore PC Gamer indie title than some kids game. Of course by now it has sold over 200 Million copies, and it is ubiquitous. This is one of our favorite games – one that went from being a niche indie darling to mainstream domination.

Die Shrink 34: What makes an $800 GPU “worth it”?

With so many GPUs this year not reaching their MSRP, and on the cusp of the launch of the $1000 6900XT - we talk about what makes one decide (or not decide) an expensive GPU is worth the money.

This isn't strictly about price/performance either - there are many reasons one might decide to "treat yourself", or conversely that it is just silly to splurge this much on any single component. This was a Die Shrink dedicated to discussing what makes something expensive "worth it.”
