Sunday piano meditation - no. 2

As promised we keep building the tradition of one piano improvisation each and every Sunday (and following the idea of an ascending scale - this one is in D major). I recorded this bit this morning right after l woke up - but was on the move the whole day. Now I‘m sitting in a super crowded train on my way to Germany, where I will play on a private event next Tuesday.

Sunday morning piano meditation - no. 1

Recorded this on my home piano yesterday morning, when I didn't feel so well - just letting go and playing whatever comes into my head helps a lot then. Maybe it helps you too.

You're important, you're precious and you're not alone - this is what this little piano recordings sounds like for me. Remember that. :)

As you may know I will play a little gig in Cologne tonight (at Weinladen Süd "Maulvoll", Sommelier Session, starts at 8 pm!) - and I will share this new song with the audience there, so I thought I might as well share it with you here too :)

It's about a tree in the wind, telling its story - a very gentle, soft tune which gives you the feeling of a warm hug by a good friend. At least that's how I feel when I listen to it, hmmm.

analogue impressions - part one

Some days ago I got asked to share some analogue shots - so here are some results from the first film I shot with the old Agfa camera from my grandfather. They were all taken throughout the last months, most of these ones from April & May in Vienna, Cork and Niederösterreich.

As you can see I am still trying out how to use it properly - but sometimes blurriness adds to the character I guess. :)

Calming piano meditation (Cmaj7)

I spent the last days in my mums garden in Brandenburg, Germany. Those were very much needed quiet days of doing nothing, sitting on the Hollywood swing and talking a lot, breathing and letting go, listening to the birds and the wind in the trees, thinking about the past and the future.

Little being back home improvisation

Played this today and like the floating character, listening back to it makes me fall a little bit out of time - and I like it, maybe you do too :)

Will tell you more about my crazy last two weeks of traveling around soon - have been to sooo many places in such a short time, still needing a bit to arrive back in the  reality of Vienna. It was awesome, so grateful for having these opportunities!

It's been such a busy week, oh my, I am still processing everything that has happened - I think I could record like a 30 min podcast about it haha, it was so much & all at once, but so so beautiful!

Mariners Apartment Complex (Band Cover)

It's time for some music again - this is literally the first try of my band and I covering 'Mariners Apartment Complex' by Lana del Rey. Always loved that song and we had the very spontaneous idea of playing it two days before our last show in Vienna. Behind the scenes - music video shoot in Berlin

this is a demo of a very personal song I wrote in the beginning of January - privately I've been going through some not so easy times in the last months.

We probably all know the situation in which you watch someone you love struggling - and you want to help them, but you kind of can't and that's breaking your heart a little. Berlin Polaroids

I'm finally in Vienna again, this time for longer. The last ten days in Berlin have been very full, very creative and inspiring, very social - and also pretty exhausting to be honest. Now I'm happy to be back home, where I have all the personal space I need and where I can recover from the busy Berlin time.

offline time in Helsinki

dearest people, 

as you already may have noticed it was a little quieter here during the last days - I am visiting friends in Finland for the next week and am trying to get some time off my phone too. To fully enjoy the time and the nature here :)

Yesterday I went for a long walk in the forest close to the coast - it was absolutely beautiful, the pictures can't fully capture it, but you can imagine the peaceful wintery atmosphere, hmmm.
