Sneak Preview Halloween

Well, looks like I can paint faster than ever. With only 3 days under the belt this painting is the fastest one yet. There are still some improvements that need to be done, an example of which is the robes. 

Transitioning from black and white to color leaves it discolored and I've begun fixing it on the her right shoulder. The patch of light red on her right shoulder is the corrected version, the red sudden transition to white on the elbows is what happens when you splash red overlays on ...

Starting without lineart

A practice I've been doing during the week of drawing portfolio pieces, I decided to test new techniques with simple stuff like this. :D

Portfolio work

So here's the stuff I do in order to get work. These pieces will be part of a 20-30 piece portfolio I'll be assembling. Thankfully only a few pieces need to be full renders but I do plan to do at least 10-14. 

Luckily I am getting significantly faster everytime I paint. First one took 2 weeks while the second one took 5 days. I plan to continue shortening the time it takes for rendering.

Halloween

I never got the celebrate halloween last time around due to schoolwork, this time I want to honor the holiday as best I can. With naughty illustrations of course. I plan to make 2 versions a "SFW" for my deviantart and a NSFW for the foundry. Enjoy the sketch.

Today's Progress

With this piece I'm focusing on the black and white values and pushing my understanding of how pure light and shadow works before I put color in. Having proper value shifts will make the characters feel more realistic. It took all friggin day so learning is a really arduous endeavor. Hopefully tomorrow I can solidify my understanding some more. enjoy

The problem right now is I leveled up, alot, using my learning resources I want to try a new way of doing things and well, alot has changed in these few days since the last post. See for yourself I promise you the wait will be worth it in the end. Added to it is my paint sketch I did last week.

John's Commission

Here be the sketch layer, I'm trying a new way of approaching line art, used to be I used them as shadows and that worked quite well for a beginner. But this time I'll just paint over them and see if I come up with something better, also brushing up on various fundamental painting lessons again. It's hasn't been that long but it seems like I forgot some of the basics.

Alden's Commission

Christ anthros are tough to  paint. Enjoy, things would go faster if less curveballs were thrown :P, but it was quite fun.

Should be the right now, gonna need to research better fur painting for the future.

Here are some roughs on the currently active commissions, Biffo wanted to see my character and here is her demon form for the next outing of AODL, which preproduction has begun on. Other things I'm trying out include 3D modeling and 2D animation, shit couldn't be too hard. The other rough is Alden's anthro commission, not sure about the hair yet, he'll have to get back to me on that one. Enjoy.

Evevos' Commission

Sorry it took so long, things I currently draw are used for research to improve my painting skills, that said I completely redid this piece. Going to push through, adding more and more adjustments with each successive piece.

Hey guys, it's been a week since I returned to the states and things have been quite busy.  For now I'm trying to consolidate my learning and basically upgrading my painting abilities. I'll send a screenshot of that with this post, expect the commissions to look similar in detail.

Graduating by June

Hey guys, some really good news. I am about to graduate from art school. This one year program was pretty close to a living hell but I am glad to say I succeeded and my art has improved by leaps and bounds. I really wish I had stuff to show how much I improved but sadly all my work is owned by the school since I sold my soul and rights to them when I started.

I am happy to say I will finally have time to work on commissions again at the start of june, and even more time when I return home ...

Mechanic Girl Pinup

So after mulling it over, the new guy's commission was the most interesting, since it aligns with the IP project I'm working on for school, so it gets painted first. It gave me good practice for the machinery of dieselpunk and a sexy girl is a bonus. Lemme know if you want anything changed and or appended.

Demon Lord concept

Some painting practice, as well as the redesign of the main character for

the next volume of the advent of a demon lord. Lot of prepwork is

needed, will be revealing bits and pieces of that soon as well as

some other drawings that I will be trying. Of course how much time I

can spend on this depends on how much time term break homework will
