The public demo is very close and will feature ~300 HQ pictures. I've made a few mistakes, though...meaning it will take just a little bit longer. I am aiming for wednesday. I have had a weird bug with Poser Pro (elven ear morphs are disappearing sometimes. I don't know why? Ok, so I've implemented all the mechanics: The new battle system, the currency and the trade system, the skill system and the mining system. All characters are done, the intro is done.
All that is left are the maps (only 30% done. That is because the characters on the map are animated now...looks pretty cool and makes the game look less static) and 4 scenes. And then we are ready to go into the beta test, where the tester tier gets to play the first day and leave feedback for the mining system...

I have an important question...I am currently working on the mining system and it has a nice little randomness to it, meaning you don't always get the same result when you mine a rock. But that's also kind of exploitable. You could always reload when you didn't get a valuable gem or when an enemy appears...making the game less challenging. But maybe some of you don't want it to be challenging, maybe some of you guys just want to focus on the artwork.

I got a message that it may be frustrating for some of you to avoid the rubbernurses, so here is a quick guide/map of the rooms and the paths you have to take.
When you get the Rubbernurse Suit out of the Dressing Room, you can walk along the green lines without being seen and catched by the nurses.

I've tested the animation render time with my new i7 32gb ram laptop...and surprise surprise, now I really think we can talk about it again. One second animation takes just 10 minutes to render that would mean 12 seconds is just 2 hours of rendertime. That may still sound much, but since I can make the animations loopable, it is quite good.
I've made a small one second animation...it looks very clumsy because I didn't spend much time on it.....

So, I bought the game engine I was looking for all year long, and boy, I thought things would be easier. It's quite powerful and I think I can make raising sims with it, but it will take some time.
