Not the best week. It started of well but I just couldn't finish strong :(. Had some real life getting in the way and on the weekend, where I usually render the most. So for this week I only made 50 new renders, and the goal was to get double that amount :(
Still hoping that I can finish all the renders this coming week, maybe even during the week so I can start implementing the stuff on the weekend already.

The render count is at: 403 pictures!
Which means normally I would say that I am done. 350-400 pictures was all that I wanted to do for this update. It has a lot of fun scenes, finishes the church content entirely (unless I decide to give the dark mother a bit more love in later updates but you can really call it finished with both jezebel and hannah getting their endings) AND has the prison bad endings for the judge if you fail the tax paying system.

To keep you updated: the render count is currently at 320 pictures.
I have spent almost the entire week on making the prisoner bad ending...and it was worth it! I had so much fun, so I created not only the place and the cells but 2 new characters for that ending...a female and a futa...so you can choose your preferred ending. Both characters are related with existing characters of femdom city...pretty sure you can figure out which ones when you see them :)

I am currently at 250 renders...but my aim for this release is 350-400, so that we have another big one and there is lots of stuff to explore, so I guess I am a bit behind with my ambitious goal. Let's see if I can close the gap this week.

Another sunday update with some render previews. As you know Shadow over Blackmore is currently on a short break and I am focussing on Femdom City MANTIS at the moment. It won't be finished with this coming update, though.

So the vast majority of you guys want to see fcity ported. It was also pointed out in the comments that it is in your best interest that porting it does not take much time. If I do the port to renpy myself it will take quite a lot of that.
The solution would be to find someone who knows both RenPy and Visual Novel Maker and is trustworthy and let him do the port while I keep working on new scenes. I will ask around if someone like that exists (maybe you know someone? if so, let me know)...

I have decided to put my focus on FCity MANTIS at least for a short while. I don't want to make this a huge update but I want to start finishing some ends. Like discussed before, the only thing close to being finished is the church questline.

Ok, so let us recap: The release of Day Two of Shadow over Blackmore was a success overall, mainly because of the positive feedback that I received. I am really happy that you guys like the mystery horror setting and how the story unfolds! It was a huge risk since it isn't for everyone!
The big main flaw of this release was that loading old saves caused bugs and errors, making them unusable.

Last week. Most likely. If everything goes according to plan the release is still the 27th. If anything unexpected happens or I am not able to finish it or think the game needs one or two days of additional polish, it will come 28-30th.

With the release getting closer (release date is the 27th, so two weeks away) I've been asked a few times if the old saves are going to work. I don't know if they do. I have never updated a game in RenPy (the new game engine used to create this game) so far. Knowing a bit about RenPy now, I think that it is going to be complicated, and here is why:

I have started writing the dialogue for the new update and implementing the new scenes and I was wondering if the system that was used in the first version is really what you guys want...or if you would prefer more like a femdom city approach.

Damn, that took longer than expected. Lots of stuff I had to edit in the end. I think this was the longest time I ever spend on just rendering for a new update. Fair to say that if this had taken longer, I would have lost my mind. I have already started editing the scenes into videos and I will start implementing everything next week. Damn, didn't make it just in time, two small scenes are still missing. That should be done by tuesday, though, so the renders are almost finished.
The small delay was a result of me not having the right assets for what I wanted to do on the latex bed. The character gets encased by the bed and I wanted it to feel like that. It wouldn't be as fun when the character just goes to sleep and wakes up encased. I thought about doing that instead but in terms of quality you should not make compr...
