Hi all, working on the game I'm trying to optimise our workflow to speed up the code. One such method is Ai-generated backgrounds, They are a bit soapy however it is many times better than what I drew by hand, alas. I'd like artificial intelligence to do everything instead of me, but that's not possible at the moment :)
There are probably already pornographic visual novels made with AI at this point.
I assure you that in our game the AI only draws some backgrounds, bad jokes, and spelling mistakes are my doing. At the moment I'm inserting sprites that Bisamon draws. The picture I've attached is of Bastian's house. He'll take Viv out for pizza if she helps with his request.
It's quite difficult to look for errors looking at a black screen, so I decided to start inserting sprites into the game. The new sprites in the game look very nice, but I still have a hell of a lot of work ahead, I just decided to share with you what it looks like inside the game. The code for this update is already 4 times larger than the code for the previous update, sometimes freedom of action and complex mechanics complicate everything. After I'm done with this update, remind me to work on the bugs before celebrating!
So, I finished the scene of Vivien having fun with Hima.
I happen to have a much harder time writing sex scenes than anything else. I don't know what it has to do with it, but very often the result looks like a cringe to me. At times like this, I work from certain patterns I've used before. BUT! It seems to me that writing sex is a very thin ice in which you have to strike a certain balance. The judgement, as always, is yours. Personally, when I play games like ours I rarely pay attention to the text, but that's just me.
I just need to write a couple more scenes and make sure they lead to the same point, so that will be the end of the scenario. Yes, I need to write another part of sex -.-
Hey everyone, there's some news about the story. 1. Unfortunately sex with Bastian will not be in this update. (It was in my plans but to me if I did it, it would be too drawn out and not look organic .) 2. Hima can go to the shower with you again, I'm working on that scene now. 3. You can skip both of these events and have an evening to yourself (Who would even care?).
There are too many choices, dialogues and so on in the game, which is why it takes so long to write the script. It's funny, I've been working on this for months, while the typical player clicks through all this dialogue for three minutes just to see the illustrations.
Hello everyone, I'm currently working on writing the story and dialogues. When I drink too much coffee the code turns into a web, but the spider in this situation is not me. I get entangled like a fly in a spider's web, but at the same time I continue to look pretty confident. Everything is going according to plan, I'm not confused, this was my plan.
In any case, with the next update you will have several options for the development of events. 1)You manage to help Bastian, but you go home and meet with Hima. 2)You help Bastian and go to his place for coffee. 3)You don't help Bastian and get into a taxi with him, after which Viv's stress level increases. 4)You don't help Bastian and run home, meeting Hima. 5)You quarrel with Bastian and go home (I lost this line!) 6)Perhaps I missed something else XD I still have a lot of work to do and I will definitely unravel when I finish all the lines. It's like a puzzle that only looks cool when assembled.

Hey, everybody, it's me again. I'm done shopping now and have moved on to the next stage of script writing. To my surprise the build is stable at the moment, but at this stage it is very easy to miss something or forget about something. The point is that more than four different labels have to converge into one. And it all has to be polished and tested many times over. Now I have two more offshoots to make and this will be the end of the scripting work. It would be depressing to release an update with just shopping, so you'll get more content afterward.
In case anyone forgot, this is day 4 of Vivien's life (Sunday). Laundromat > Meeting Bastian > I'm here. I don’t want to spoil too much, I’ll just say that Bisamon asked me to add a new character to the game, he is not related to the main plot, he will be an episodic character who will slightly expand your perception of the Pawer Hill universe. The clothing store is done. Yesterday at the end of the day I had some mystical bug that I tried to fix for an hour, but then gave up on it and decided I'd deal with it later. I sat down to code today and found that this bug had disappeared after all, it happens sometimes. All that's left is to script the mall, and we can move on to writing the story after shopping. Then I'll need to put in sprites, sounds, and stat variables. There's a lot of work ahead of me, so I'm going to get to work.
Bisa left some stickers on my fridge, unfortunately this one peeled off and was found on the floor.

I'm done with the lingerie store and have moved on to the clothing store. The shopping system with bastian works in such a way that you can visit all the stores one by one if you don't buy anything. It seemed logical to me, because if you didn't find what you wanted in a sex store, you could go to another store and look for something else there.
News about Bisa: She's home now, and I think she's depressed because she's sad all the time and won't get out of bed. Hi everyone, had a productive night last night, my internet was down for a while so I drew a concept for a clothing store. Since our artist Bisamon doesn't have access to a laptop at the moment and can't draw sprites of underwear and clothes, accordingly I can't describe it in the script and talk about any details. But, I've come up with a solution.
I don't have to go into details like, leather skirt, or wide neckline, lace, or ruffles in certain places of costume. It's all about getting the main point across. So I'm going to describe what I haven't seen so far in general terms. There are 4 types in total: 1) Simple, 2) Cute, 3) Dominant, 4) Slutly. Nothing too complicated, I think I'll finish these two stores soon and move on to working out the walk around the mall. I'm going to bed, I'll see you soon

Unfortunately, that's all I've been able to do, I've barely worked on the code as I've been under a lot of stress with Bisamon's move. I'll be sure to catch up tomorrow, I have a lot of work to do and a clear plan of action. It's funny that some posts get more likes than the Erotica post. Why don't you like the erotica I've spent so much time working on?
Bingo, I finished everything I planned to do today, sex shop is done. I'm going to check the box now and move on to writing the plot in the next store, there are 4 in total. Logically, I wrote 1\4 scenarios for shopping, but... The sex shop was the biggest, with lots of options (Azzie merchandise, and Viv merchandise). 10 sex toys in total, that's 10 labels, which is a bit much to say the least.
My main thought, it's going to get easier from here and that makes me happy. I want to take 1 day off if you don't mind and rest a bit so you will probably be without my devblog for 1 day. On Monday, I'll start working on scripting one of the three remaining stores : Clothing store, Lingerie store and the Mall. I will open a vote, also if you have any ideas to improve the script I would love to hear them. You can also send us photos or pictures of costumes or underwear that you would like to see in our game in the assortment of goods. Maybe you'll inspire Bisa to paint your costume and me to incorporate your kinks into the story, who knows? Have a good Sunday!
Just yesterday I was convinced that the screen system was the most difficult and painful to execute (that's when you have to click on the pictures-buttons on the screen). Today I can safely say that I was wrong. It was nothing compared to what I'm doing now. The point is that any primitive mechanics can be made infinitely more complex. Endlessly upgrading your paper aeroplane could end up being a spaceship, if you know what I mean.
The usual dialogues with Bastian with various variables where he may be offended by you, or vice versa Yesterday, my code file doubled in size. Over time, I will definitely learn to move from the general to the specific, but today I am writing a plot branch that only 3% of players will get to. This is the price of a light RPG system.
By the way, which Viv is your main one, dominant or submissive? I'll create a poll in the next post, let's see the gradation

Hi everyone, I'm Croqs, the main and only programmer in this tiny team of spirit people. Yesterday I did a huge piece of dialogue between Viv and Bastian. I call it creative freestyle, when two characters communicate with each other in my head and I just write down what they say. I don't have much experience in writing stories, so all the dialogue in our game is poorly balanced in my humble opinion, I like to work out details where there is no need to do so. Therefore, you may stumble upon a long quarrel between Viv and Bastian if you rummage through the options in the future. There will be a lot of shopping in the new update, but this is just decoration, the main event is the meeting with Bastian. I'll try to implement some more radical solutions to give you more freedom than usual. You won't be able to shoot Bastian in the face with a shotgun, but you can quarrel with him and go home if you wish.(Sometimes it can be fun.). If Viv doesn't interact with other characters, she has more time for herself.
These were my thoughts for today, I hope I can do a lot of work so that I can share my work with you tomorrow
Hi everyone, I am currently working on a script for Viv, after programming Erotica this process seems more creative to me. We place two fictional characters with different personalities in an atypical situation and simply observe them. Bastian is no less stubborn than Viv, so those two will find a hundred ways to argue over nothing. I recently played Baldurs Gate, and once again I was convinced that we are on the right track, our dialogue system is more simple but such projects inspire me to create something crazy. (like a lighter in the glory hole)^^
Unrealised mechanics: There are many mechanics that I had planned but never implemented in Viv. It's a timer for answers, and a chance for successful answers, but the thing is that these mechanics don't make sense because in this engine you always have the option to hit the back button. So I decided to emphasise the answers that will pump stats, and the consequences of the choices made after a while, remember Mr Scroop who owes you a salary?(or not). The important thing in this job is not to forget what I have planned to do in two future updates, It's hard to do when you're working on more than one project at a time. If you find any gaps in the plot, let me know.
