[Cafe] 55 – Expansion and Projects

As the day quickly passed with Batman's Butler leaving the cafe with cases of alcohol and fresh exotic wasteland food, and Logan the same, I said goodbye to all of my customers, including a few new ones, before closing up shop.

With them gone, I briefly glanced at my 'Bank.'

[US Dollars: 19,240]

Turns out, with the sheer amount of Karma some of my customers had, they were quite flamboyant with their spending, such as Kyle using every scrap of his Karm...

[Multiversal Empire] 4 – Aura

[Task completed!]

[Rewards: Crate of Pre-War food and +5 Faunus Pops]

When I awoke that next morning, I heard a slight ding as a holographic screen appeared before my eyes.

Seeing the [Task Completed!] notification, I figured it must have been because we had finished digging out the well and reinforced it with rock and clay to prevent it from falling apart and collapsing, filling back up the well.

We have been able to gather water from the well for a few days now thoug...

[Cafe] 54 – Logan and…a butler?

Driving down a street in a Toyota Prius, a middle-aged man with a classy mustache and bald head wearing casual clothes yet remaining quite distinguished in both appearance and posture.

Turned down a street that seemed almost barren, noticeably lacking the common vagrant or gang that Gotham was known for.

Parking his car and locking it, he turned away, knowing full well that any common thief who tried to steal his car would find the task near impossible.

That's when he found ...

[The Tainted Lands] 2 – Rebirth and Escape

[A/N: So, I feel like clarifying that the system I am using takes great inspiration from Randidly Ghousthound and The New World by Monsoon]

For what felt like an eternity, I floated alone in a dark abyss, accompanied by nothing but my thoughts and a random timer that slowly ticked down from three hours.

While it did count down from three hours, it felt like three times the amount of speed was passing as the timer ticked down painfully slow.

To make matters worse, as time pas...

[The Dungeon of Stories] 24 – Report and Integration

Sitting around a small room, a group of men in lab coats could be seen examining a screen.

On the screen was a recording of what looked to be your regular IKEA until one was to start paying attention to the details.

For one, the IKEA seemed never to end, and even the camera on the small drone and an attached rangefinder could not detect any walls, but that's nothing unexpected after the IKEA was first explored.

This drone marked the fourth to be sent into the IKEA, and on it...

[The Tainted Lands] 1 - Shift

This Idea was harrasing me, so I quickly wrote a chapter to put it off my mind.

Synopsis: It was your typical day for resident Texan John Constantine when all of a sudden, his entire world is flipped on its head. His entire town is ripped away from Earth and placed in a strange land filled with creepy crawlies that want nothing but to kill him, burn h...

[A/N: Kind of a side story or more of an attempt at delving into the lives of those outside the cafe, enjoy]

Streaking through the Sol system, a small unidentifiable object could be seen trailing through open space.

Strangely enough, its trajectory changed once it entered the system, curving in its path until it was set to collide with the Earth.

If one were to look closely, they'd see that the object was clearly unnatural in both shape and composition and seemed to be more ...

Question

So, as one of my Patreons has told me, I realized that I could have made the story a bit more interesting if I had made the Cafe a Nexus point between the worlds of Marvel and DC instead of having the Cafe reside within a mixed AU universe combining the two. So, the question is, what should I do?

Continue?

Or separate?

Personally, I think separating would be a bit interesting, but that's up to you guys.

If I do separate, it may require a rewrite.

[Cafe] 52 – Getting in Contact with Practitioners of the Arcane

"The parties responsible for the Massacre in Hell's Kitchen still remain at large, and police warn that everyone should stay in their homes past 9 PM for your own safety," A woman's voice spoke up from one of many monitors that lined a cave wall.

"Master Bruce, your tea," A British regal voice spoke up from behind a man sitting before the screen, his fists against each other while his eyes gazed at the screens.

Noticing that his master did not hear him, he spoke up again, this tim...

[The Dungeon of Stories] 23 – Time marches on

Two months, two entire months, had passed as the Humans and I worked.

In the sixty days, I continued creating the VECs, creating a new one every two days with what mana I had left over going towards creating Invictus.

By day thirty-two, I finally reached fifty total VECs that now floated around my core like small pulsating black stars while I generated 486 Mana every day.

Around the seventh day, the portal opened near a small settlement within a mile from the portal, and whe...

[Cafe] 51 – Progress and the start of new projects

Yet another week had passed while my customers played their games and enjoyed themselves.

While some did not enjoy the endless combat some of the games offered, especially to the unskilled, some thrived from the experience. For example, on the Island, Hawkeye has learned far more than he ever could have from any sort of training, and with the help of the Implant and Engrams, if he got lost and was far from civilization, he'd eventually be able to make an ATV if he so wishes though he wo...
