The black swimsuit is a bit out of place but I thought I'd try and see what it looks like in the end

I'd like to show you think month's sketches that are "presentable".
There are many more but they are so rough and dirty that are pretty embarrassing to show
Everytime I compile these, I realize how much of a commitment problem I have as I barely ever finish more than 10% of my sketches~

I wanted to try something fun with texts so I drew Mordred being attacked by them
If you are wondering what the Japanese mean, they are common compliments as in "I like you","you're so cool","so cute"....

Originally Mordred was the embassador for the swimsuit brand FLAT (I made it up).
With recent doodles and practice I came to appreciate more and more of the proportion of the human rib cage so I made the variation, with a slightly punk-ish fashion look.

I think Mordred armor with the helmet horns is cool but there's another obsession I have which is to design a slimdown version of it.
Realistically speaking bikini armor is silly and unpractically but this is the rare chance you get to see skin and armor plates at the same time xD

I've discovered I have more fun painting Mordred in swimming pool more than on the beach. Perhapes it's because I could imagine more interesting compositions and lightnings with an in-door pool.
Which version of backshot is to your liking ?

So I decided to revisit this design and created the variation version of it.
The original design I did back then looked more like a fantasy adventurer type but for the variation, I wanted Mordred to look wilder with a mercenary vibe.
That's why she has even less armor ^^

I also tried a lot of different ideas to figure out what kind of clothing Mordred would most likely wear for comfort sleeping.

At the beginning I always favored the ponytail but as time's passed I'm starting to lean more towards long hair for Mordred....

The jacket they wear is a specialty from Japan called Sukajan. It's actually a lot flashier in real life.

WIP of a new image in which I get to draw Mordred's back muscle (again)
I plan to have proper background and play around with the lightning so that I can make Mordred's figure pop even more. I'll show you as soon as it's done.
I'm debating whether to go with the usual blue or red for the swimsuit. Let me hear your opinion :)

For this month, I decided to combine Mordred with some of my favourite things to draw, like classic ipod and shirtless torn jean...
It was also an interesting experience to come up with some kind background to serve as living environment for the character.
If I could get better doing this, I think I'll be able to put more story or context into the illustration.

Unfinished piece I did imagining Mordred as a circus performer.
I had a cosplayer who said she wanted to do this outfit so I fleshed out the design for her. Unfortunately didn't hear back :(
What do you think of this look ?

I could have named this "Got punched in the face Mordred" but "Not giving up Mordred" just sounds more noble :D
