Edit August 3: A dark version was added. It doesn't look as good as I'd like, but the color palette of this image was intended for bright lighting, so it would have been very difficult to adapt it properly due to the painting method.

Koopa Booba - Big + few steps

I hope you like this painting; it started as an experiment. I don't usually do shiny skin because I feel it doesn't match the fur, but I love it for reptilian characters. I saved some previews for those who can be interested in the process.

Married talk

This background was another challenge, but I really liked the result. The next page will have quite a bit of text and is significant for what's coming in the next chapter.

Jet the hawk (sketch 2)

The requester asking me to draw Jet again, but this time it is an alternate version using the exact same pose as Knuckles (only his left arm is on his head). Of course he has a thong that match his boots =P

Another practice and more bears =P This time the bear leaves the leather outfit and go play with butterflies ;-)

As you may guess I intentionally give a "square" look to the brushes to step out at least once from soft shaded image. I think it looks good for artistic concepts. I also play with complementary colors here, and the bears are cute -w-

If you recall, in the epilogue of Chapter 2, Clarisse says that one of her guilty pleasures is watching Lug sleep. She does this often when she brings new flowers for the vase -w-

Bowser's day is next month but I can't resist to make a sketch to relax myself from other projects. Maybe I will paint it later ^^

This is a request from Wagg, I hope you like it so far. Naturally it's an adult version of the character and I hope it's clear by his complexion. I still not sure how style I will use to paint it. I guess it will depend on my mood =P

End of chapter, but the epilogue will still have about 5 more pages.

The backgrounds are getting more and more demanding, and sometimes it's not easy to finish a pages, but I feel like I'm learning a lot in the process.

I hope you enjoyed this chapter. The epilogue still have some pretty important scenes ;-)

By the way, the script for chapter 5 has already been revised and will include quite a few revelations and lore ;-)

I hope you like my interpretation of the character. He has many incarnations so I took some features from here and there. When it comes to paint butts I prefer a soft style, and of course I use a line art to give the character a more recognizable aspect ;-)
