Here's the final version! If you go back and forth there's a definite improvement, and also this one took a lot less photoshopping to achieve that look than the earlier version.

Maybe I'm setting my standards too high but I'm not 100% happy with how the scene looks, I'm going to try and improve the lighting a bit for the final version.

Thinking I might split the Kaylee finale into two chapters

So I've been working backwards, starting near the end of the finale, so I could get the big climax figured out. What I'm realizing is this...

Kaylee 23 Non-Preview

Hey, I just wanted to explain why I haven't been posting any updates recently. First of all, I haven't been as productive as I wanted to be... Between getting sick again, messing around with AI, and starting Baldur's Gate and CyberPunk, I ended up not getting as much done as I'd hoped. It's been nice to have some free time, though, without deadlines looming over my head. I might have to try this more often. Thankfully, I'm still well ahead of schedule, with around 70 images done already.

Would anyone be interested in AI comissions?

The idea was this; I'd charge $25 for a 5-pack of high-quality (although not necessarily perfect) images. (In general I'd probably render at least 10 or so, but I'd make sure at least 5 were high-quality, and I'd share the outtakes, obviously.) They could be of a given character, with a given body type, etc... but I would be limited in terms of the kinds of scenes and set-ups that I could do.

PSA- you won't get charged this month

I noticed that a few people unsubscribed recently, which I'm guessing was because they didn't want to get charged when I wasn't releasing a new comic. But to make it clear: you won't be charged anything this month! The system is on a one-month delay, everything is delayed a full month. I'm not going to unpause it manually, I'm going to wait until it automatically unpauses one month after I paused it.

It took a whole lot of tweaking, but I finally put together a version of the Earth that looks good enough for (relative) close-ups. If you include failed experiments, it probably took the better part of a week just tweaking this... which is why it was good to have some extra time! Otherwise I would have just had to go ahead and use the unfinished version I had before, which didn't look nearly as good. It'll come in handy if I ever do stuff on a similar scale in the future!

Feeling better, but I'm thinking I'll still pause for a month

I'm feeling better, but I think I'll still keep my Patreon paused for a full month. The meds seem to be working, and I'm feeling better, but I don't want to declare victory prematurely.

I've been thinking about doing a one-month pause the Patreon for a while now, and it's already paused now, so I feel like I should just go through with the full month. Going to pause for a month

Hey, I'm realizing that it would be crazy to try and release a comic this month. I came down with shingles a few days ago, and it's still tolerable... but I'm in for a really rough 1-2 weeks, and that's if things go well. For the first time ever, I'm going to hit that big pause button!

Growing pains

Preview for a JoB one-off collab, that will be coming out... sometime. The story is pretty simple: a waitress makes a little extra money by taking part in a trial for an experimental chewing gum, one that can provide a lifetime of nutrition. There's just one catch... swallowing it can lead to uncontrollable growth!

Update

So, I went to the doctor for what I figured was a jock itch. Nope! Turns out I have shingles. So far it's not too bad... but I know that it'll probably get quite a bit worse before it gets better. I just started an antiviral, which is making me feel a bit drowsy. All in all, a pretty mixed bag!

I'll work if and when I feel like it, but getting gud is my top priority. I'm thinking I'll probably pause billing for a month... but I'm also entertaining the possibility of doing two JackofBull...

Here's the full audio for Hazel smashes Seattle. I haven't had time to listen to or edit it yet, so there will probably be some minor glitches here and there. Still, they're usually mostly fine out of the box, if you can tolerate some weird sounds every so often. For whatever reason a lot of them sound kind of like Pee Wee Herman's vocal tics... but if anything that just makes it even sexier.
