Emma update

So me and EmmaGear both got sick right at the end of the month! The comic is probably going to be a bit late as a result. Emma's only written a fraction of the script, so it's going to be at least a couple of days before the whole thing is complete. As for my end, the comic is already rendered, and complete, with a little over 160 renders... But I'm toying with the idea of adding one more scene at the end to round things out, or possibly adding another flashback prologue.

Save or swallow?

Should Emma save or swallow the businessman from part 1? Like Ingrid, he's "grown" a bit with Emma, making him a little more than ten feet tall (which isn't the case in this render, I'll fix that later.) That could be weird, but also interesting. So... Should he stay, or should he go?

Liz gets hungry

Maybe it would be okay to eat just one. After all, Liz was a star now, and rules were for the little people! That’s what Miranda said! And she’d been okay with the photographer getting stepped on… so how was this any different?

Before Liz knew what was happening, she was already reaching out for the woman. The blonde woman was completely oblivious to what was happening as Liz reached out, and plucked her up by the arm.

Aggravated Emma

Emma's subjects had the nerve to ignore her commands and run from her. She's going to remind them who's boss, and show up one of them in particular...

I went ahead and had Emma "grow" right before this, but not by a huge amount.

Comparing sizes (and Emma 2 Outline)

Ingrid's bigger than normal, but not by quite as much as Emma had hoped.

I'm almost done with the opening scene, which picks up right where the last chapter left off. After that, things get a bit more interesting.

Emma Shrinks update and deleted renders

So as you might have guessed from the lack of updates, I'm getting a late start on Emma Shrinks the World 2. I'm actually just getting started working on it tonight! That might sound late, and it is, but I don't have anything else to work on for the rest of the month, so I should be able to knock it out pretty easily.

G9 detail appreciation post

Celebrity Crush is the first comic I'll be releasing that uses a Genesis 9 character, and a test of just how much of an improvement the new character models are. For 90% of shots, the difference is pretty small, to the point where you really can't tell it's more detailed than the G8 models. But in close-ups, the difference is huge! You can really make out all the little wrinkles on her hand, which is a huge improvement over G8, where a lot of those shots looked really pixelated.

I'm testing out a voice for the Emma audio. It's something a little different... more of an ASMR-style whispery voice. I kind of like it personally, but I'm not set on it if most of you can't stand it. What do you think?

Fine, here it is. I think I liked the joke one better though!

Also, the final version of the comic is almost ready, I should have it tonight or tomorrow at the latest! It's in a state where I could easily release it but I want to re-render a couple of shots with some minor tweaks first. All of the new stuff will be in the bedroom scene or at the very end.

More Emma?

I'm thinking I'll do Part 2 of Emma next. I don't usually do two chapters of the same comic back to back but I'm guessing people want to see what happens next, and besides, I feel like I have momentum going. What do you think?
