Project L: Part 94 - Kellokoski

Come with to us to historical Kellokoski, on a journey around river Keravanjoki.

This time I had the inspiration and the time to actually write more precisely about our journey. I think I went a little overboard with the silliness, but, then again, I am very silly.

Next up are the behind the scenes of part 92, 93 and 94. Part 92's bts photos are almost ready. Sorry to keep you waiting!

Part 94: WIP #5

Leila touches an acorn of an oak tree. The gauntlet attached to Fantastic Rubber's suit is surprisingly fitting, even though I had my doubts.

Leila has a very cheeky smile - but this lens, Canon EF 50mm f/1.2L is rather soft. I need a better lens.

I demand too much of my tools.

I've been doing some small adjustments to my editing workflow, just to be a bit more precise and at the same time bit more efficient.

I've found this great way of working with Adobe Lightroom Classic that helps me to enhance the facial features just a little bit - but with no manipulation, but just to perhaps bring up the shadows and make the face more the focus of the photo, as it should be.

Part 94: WIP #2

Leila stands in a park that surrounds the river Keravanjoki in a town called Kellokoski. The water is greenish-brown, rather nasty to be honest - but it's better than not having any water around.

Sun peaked its head through the branches of the tree above, with some misty clouds smoothing the edges of the shadows.

So we did shoot part 94 yesterday! There's a town very near of Järvenpää, Kellokoski, where we've never shot before, so that's where we decided to go. Here's a small sneak peek!

WIP: Part 92's Behind the Scenes #3

"Look outside and think of deep things. Wistfully."

It's kind of an easy thing to do, and it makes your photos have a "striking" feeling of some sort. It fools the viewer in thinking that there's something deeper than there actually is. The oldest trick in the book.

Project L: Part 93 - Somewhere in Sipoo

Even though my day job has been still extremely busy (yeah, I know, I write that every single time but this time it's been really busy), we managed to squeeze a Tuesday afternoon alone with Leila to shoot this part before the vacation season starts - and it's not like vacation time means that we have more time, it means that we travel more as a family, so photoshoots are kind of out of the window there.

Leila redecorated our balcony, as we finally got ourselves some balcony windows to prevent rain from ruining everything. Here she is posing with a glimpse of pride in her eyes.

Behind you can see the old church of Sipoo, built somewhere in 1450s. It's an absolutely beautiful building with some great architectural choices.

This dress was pants, by the way, which Leila cut from the middle - because weoulcn't find a proper dress for the suit. Personally I feel that this is something extremely fashionable. Perhaps we've started a new trend?

WIP: Part 93 #3

Leila's outfit goes well with my company car. It's a very nice car, a 2019 Toyota RAV4 Business Edition. Hybrid, of course. Not like I could afford it, but as I get so many kilometres per year, and the car's previous user was let go, I got it as a company car.

Leila's outfit was extremely shiny at the start of the shoot.

Too bad I forgot the latex polish at home, so at the end of the shoot the suit wasn't nearly as shiny - but hey, it's still latex after all, in a very casual moment!
