A video appears. Rejoice!
Included some proper poi-spinning action to the end.

The darkness has fallen and no Finn is safe from it. Those of us who live in Southern Finland are the unluckiest ones, for no snow has stayed on the ground. It's literally the darkest time of the year and it's depressing.
Better get some balls of light and go outside in a latex catsuit, then. Because that's what any reasonable person would do.
There will be quite a lot of behind the scenes photos this time; I had to pick the most interesting ones to this one, so there's some repet...

Finally we did what we've been talking about for so long - put some actual effort in shooting Miia's poi-spinning art.
And by effort I mean setting up a tripod and an external flash. So... Not much effort. But some, nonetheless. As long as the end result actually shows the movement.
This is still work in progress. There's a lot that can be done with the RAW files of Canon 1D X Mark II to bring up the background etc.
Hi y'all. The last stream we had was not enough to capture a complete Project L, I'd say - so I don't feel like that I'd like to charge anything for these photos; especially since one of the models thought that she'd rather not have her face shown publicly in photos - this was mostly a stream, after all.
You can consider this as a Patreon benefit.
But, if you would want to support the project further, you can order prints! I've reactivated my Redbubble account with some new prints...

This is a reminder that we'll be hosting a wonderful shiny stream with Maria and Leila tomorrow, Saturday 23rd November.
We'd really love to have you all there, my beloved Patrons, as you are obviously the most important supporters that we have. You are the fuel that lights the engine of this train called Project L – so please join us!
We've chosen an array of games that are not so intensive that we can easily chat along with you, so that we're not focused in the video games the...

Winter stream night is approaching – and it'll be on this Saturday at 3 PM (CET)!
Rejoice as Maria and Leila return to your favourite streaming service: twitch.tv/siitn
Also possible surprise visitors.

More info to follow. Maybe we could stream both at Twitch and YouTube at the same time.

The behind the scenes photos and outtakes from the 77th Project L is out.
Better late than never, I guess.
Also, there's some rant of mine about photography experience and chance. It made sense when I wrote it. Not sure if it makes any now.
Edit: bonus photos!

Here's Jonna standing in a forest.
I'll really have to shoot one-on-one with Jonna soon, it's so much easier to arrange the shots to the specs that I want. Simply saying, it's so much easier to control one person than three.

The behind the scenes of this and the previous parts are coming! My work-life-stress balance has been awful as of lately as my employer has been handing out layoffs; out of 1,500 people 144 were kicked out.
Luckily I was not one of them, as outsourcing video is really expensive and quite

I'm quite happy with how much video I managed to capture altogether - I even managed to stretch out the video to nearly seven minutes without needing to repeat situations too much.
There's a few lines by the models, too. They're in Finnish, but I've added subtitles through Youtube.
Enjoy!
The 77th Project L has been released.
If I recall correctly, this was the first project where all of the models didn't know each other beforehand; even though Jenni brought Tuire to the project as a new model, neither of them knew Jonna.
This wasn't as a big of a problem as I would have anticipated. It's very easy to shut one's self when there are people who already know themselves and you only know one person, but Jonna's attitude to the project was extremely professional and she...

Latex, wine and karaoke. What else there is to life?
I really enjoy the glow behind Jonna here, enticing everyone to direct their looks into the centre.
The photos are now being reviewed by the models for public release. Awaiting permission.

The weekend we shot this was the last possible chance we got to capture autumn in its full glory. Few days later, most of the leaves were either frozen or blown off by gusts.
Nearing to the end of the edit process. Hoping to be able to publish the project soon.

Finally got some time to browse through the 77th part's photos. Here's a work in progress photo of Jonna.
2019-10-12 10:54:58 +0000 UTC View PostHey y'all! Here are the high-resolution photos for the 76th Project L. Because the photos have such a wide dynamic range, it means that the photos are of extremely high size - and as Patreon only supports up to 200MB per file, I had to split the files to a zip.
You should be able to open these files with a 7z (I highly recommend) or WinRar, which are free to use. To be honest, I'm not sure about Microsoft's in-built File Explorer.
Please let me know in the comments if you are havi...

The 76th part's behind the scenes video is out, and it's out right about now.
Rejoice!
I'm still seeking a certain, identifiable style for my productions, but, alas, every video differs quite a lot. I mean, that's good thing, sort of, but I'd still rather have a constant style.
But then again, video is usually an afterthought; photos come first. Usually.

The 76th project is out!
I mean, there's not that much to write about it here, as I wrote an unusually long text with models' comments to the post itself.
Go check it out: https://photour.net/project-l-part-76-late-summer-evening-in-helsinki/

Walking in the middle of Helsinki without anything covering the latex is one thing when you're wearing a dress like Jonja is, but Jenni went full in for her first try and decided to just wing it with a catsuit.
I mean, I wouldn't do that, but that's a bold strategy. Much respect to her.

The purple catsuit that's only been worn in the 57th Project L is back as well! Even though the suit is sized "S", as are most of the catsuits, it's suspiciously small. Luckily Jenni is small as well.

A new model, again! Jonja's friend, Jenni, saw the photos taken of Jonja and she was more than excited to join.
Still doing some minor fixes on the last few images, this set should be out pretty soon!

Hey y'all, the behind the scenes photos for the 75th part are finally here!
I managed to squeeze some time from taking care of Leila and the baby and got my edits finally done.

My and Leila's baby has arrived. Some delays on the 75th part's behind the scenes photos can appear.
We're so very happy right now. Tired, but happy.
The video with the Jonna is here. It's not as long as the previous part, because the previous part was completely video focused - this was had its priorities in photography.
I'm decently fine with the short clip, as it seems that even my newly obtained skills with my cinema camera have translated to my still camera as well. The shots don't sway at all as much as they used to, and there are other improvements too.
There's still a long way to go, I feel, and I wouldn't have it any o...
2019-06-29 10:54:46 +0000 UTC View PostLooking at the statistics of the Patreon exclusive videos and their view counts, most of you haven't seen them. Admittedly, they're rather boresome to find through all of the posts.
Wonder no more – here they are!
Jonna is back in this aptly-named 75th Project L.
By the way - who could've imagined that the project would hit up to three quarters of hundred parts when we started up the project seven years ago? I'm well aware of the cliché way of writing my amazement out, but I'm truly flabbergasted about the fact.
Truth be told the hundredth time, I wouldn't be here without you, my dear Patrons. Thank you. Funding Project L funds my sanity as well as the photos, as this is an extremely impor...
