Good day everyone! This is what i meant by someone narrating the expression change. It feels kind of natural and authentic to me lol. Some expression poses might change in the end, but fundamentally everything is there. Blocked out this today, hope you like where i'm going. I won't polish this animation too much. Maybe it'll be in a level of "Renamon tea time" animation. Just to get the movement readable. I shouldn't have spent too much time on this lol

Guys... I think i'm overcomplicating it...
What i'm going to do is to make it looks like that Klonoa comes to a studio to get his rig tested like an actor. There will be background voice telling what to do to Klonoa and he does his best to follow it. I also want include elements from games like UI sound fx etc. to make it more interesting to fans.
This idea is cool, but it might get longer to make. Right now its around 30 seconds long.
I think i can make it in 2-3 days or earlier...

Today i finished rig completely! Both eyes have been remade! Now they don't lose appeal when he looks around! Added basic tongue and basic teeth with basic rig. What else... File is cleaned up! Aaaaand i was testing the rig with the emotions, these 5 images are the result. By making these i got an idea of animating emotion transitions and maybe release it as separate youtube video as animation test. Main video will be made after that. Let me know your thoughts on that.

Hey everyone!
I couldn’t upload any progress yesterday — had to spend the evening with my family. But here are the results so far:
Added a small tuft on the head (thanks to Cachomon for the suggestion!)
Eye area is rigged
Finished some touch-ups on the mouth (the controllers now slide nicely on top of the mesh)
Added widgets to the controllers and did some file cleanup

Today i finished mouth rig, it is a tiny bit complicated. You can check out this video to see how it's actually behaving. So far i'm satisfied. Eye's white material needed to be cut with shader editor. Could do more, but today was so full of distracting gaming news (Digimon time stranger, warhammer etc) I can't focus more on this, so i'm calling it a day for today 😂

Hey guys! Sorry for not updating you yesterday — my friend was leaving town, so I had to spend some time with him.
Anyway, here’s my progress so far: the body and clothes are all rigged and weight painted, and they work well now.
Personally, I think I might have overcomplicated the pants a little — I’m considering deleting the top part of the chain for better performance and keeping the controllers simple and clean.

Couldn't do much today — had to deal with some GPU issues on my PC. The body rig is almost done with Auto-Rig Pro. I also tested out the new addon 'B-Bonify' on his pants — it really made the job easier! Still not perfect, but it saved me so much time. This is just the very rough auto-skinning result for the hands and body. The pants and boots will definitely need some extra care to get good results!

Hey guys! I've been trying to make a custom add-on to boost my rigging speed. There are a lot of processes that are boring and repetitive — one of them is creating B-Bone chains. I'm not a coder, so I tried making this add-on with the help of ChatGPT. Honestly, I think the result isn't bad! Of course, there's still plenty that could be added to the code — right now, it does about 60% of what I need. But even that will save me a ton of time.

Hey! Sharing today's process! So far i'm 90% done with the model, only need to tweak eyes a little bit for more appeal. Current one isn't bad, but can be improved! I'll be sharing render GIF on socials.
His face went through a lot of change, i couldn't track every single one, i just have this checkpoint images.
I only texture painted his face, ears, tail and pants for small detail. Also i didn't bother with fur tufts. Current one already looks good so i left them as is.

I had so much fun creating this rig. Time management was indeed a crucial part of the process.
This is impmon rig, one of my latest rigs, did my best to clean up the blender scene. Didn't try this rig in game engine, but if you want, you can try to modify rig to make it suitable for game engine. Just don't forget to credit me 😉
Oh and install "rig_tool_3.74.42.zip" as addon. So you'll have full control of this rig. IK FK, stretch etc functions are locked otherwise

This rig was my first attempt at hard surface, didn't know much back then, but did my best to make it look cool. Model is old and really rough. I'd like to revisit him one day, make him more game engine friendly. You can try it out and see my semi handpainted texture attempt. Have fun with the rig!

I think this guy deserves to be the first one in rig vault since he was the reason i felt in love with the result of the hard surface modeling.
He is one of my early creations, so he is not optimized properly. I do want to revisit his model in the future though, to make him more game engine friendly and blender friendly. Rig also need some work.
You can move and animate with the current right without too much problem though, so i'm sharing him here.
