Hello!  Here's a little mini-post of my own photography to interrupt my modeling photos.  I had the opportunity to take some portraits last week, so I thought I'd share a few here.  I don't typically shoot other people indoors, but we wanted to try it out.  This was the first official shoot where one of rolls of film didn't come out (;__;), but it happens and I'm glad I brought more than one roll!

Hello! 

I'm only a couple weeks away from my next Bay Area trip, and I'm still posting photos from last month - eek!  I'll aim to post the rest next week.  Here's some photos we took in the morning at a VERY popular trail that was oddly empty.  In fact, everywhere we went this morning was oddly empty.  We theorized that we lucked out since it was the morning after clubs/bars had fully reopened.  It was a nice bit of luck since I didn't get my fog :)  <...

Yellow

Here's a few photos from a quick stop we made after the beach.  On our way to lunch, I saw this hill that was just so yellow (St. John's Wort? I couldn't tell what it was), so we popped out of the car to take a few snaps.  

You probably noticed that during my trip, as has been my luck, there were no beautiful overcast or foggy skies.  But, you know, we make do and I'll be patient for the next trip :)

Back in another stream

Sorry for the lack of posts... I've been waiting for photos, but now I have a few sets I can post 🙂.
Hopefully no one is tired of me wandering into streams lol. It was a little sunny at this spot, but we made the best of it, and even got a short drone video here (I'll post that once I get it).

Morning in the Woods

Hello!  

It was exciting to start working with other people again after a year+ without doing so.  On this trip, I managed to link up with @ohaiitsmike again after not working together since 2019.  We encountered some unexpected closures from our original plan, and after checking out some other trails (and running into people, lots of poison oak, etc) we finally ended up in the redwoods with some morning light still left to shoot with.

In the Redwoods

Here are some shots from the spring from our redwood stop.  Personally, I love the drone shots, and wish we did more.  I can't embed the video here, so I'll have to make that a separate post.  But it should be noted when I do post the video that the drone was trying to circle around me, but ended up almost hitting me, so we had to cut that part out, lol.  I love drone shots, but the drones themselves can be a little intimidating when they get too...

Hello!

Sorry for my slow update (although that's the usual from me I suppose.....)  

I re-joined the gym after a few weeks of being vaccinated, and it has been ROUGH in the best way possible.  It's nice to feel like I'm getting back in shape, which makes me a little more motivated to shoot more this summer, too.  But I've been a little distracted from my social media as I readjust to my old/new routine.

Happy Wednesday.  I hope everyone is doing well.  I've been back at work IN PERSON after working from home for so long, so I'm adjusting to my new schedule.

Waterfall Hike #1

During my recent trip, the first waterfall we went to looked interesting because it was quite a bit off the main road, and, consequently, seemed pretty private.  However, once we made our way down the trail, it became quickly apparent that (1) the waterfall was a little sparse and (2) it wasn't very well shaded.  I wasn't super digging the spotty light, so I climbed up the mossy rocks next to the falls first to get some shaded photos, and then popped under the little waterfall after...

Happy end-of-February!  

I tried to take some self-portraits this morning, but the light got really flat really quickly, so I kind of gave up halfway through : (.  (I also had a hard time hiding my bandages from burning my fingers earlier this week haha.)  But it was still nice to warm up the camera, and I'm looking forward to more creative days ahead!  I'll be getting my second vaccine dose and then I think I'll feel a little more adventurous haha.

Foggy Woods

Happy Saturday! 

Here are some photos from when Dan and I went chasing after some morning fog.  It was rising fast, so we had to drive up Mt. Tam a ways until we found a good spot to pull over.  The fog faded so quickly we had to snap these shots within a few minutes, but I think we made it work.  My favorite is the first one - the sun was starting to peek through the fog, and it gave us a moment of really lovely lighting.

Hello all!  I hope your October is going well :o)

I just wanted to update you (in case you were wondering where I was) that I'm currently busy with work.  I have a Nov. 1st deadline, and I'm trying to finish everything in time for my Paso trip at the end of the month.  But, of course, I'll be back, with a little more activity in November thanks to some breaks from work and a trip to the Bay!

I had some time to myself today, so I played around with our living room windows.  I feel like I almost got a good shot, but it was too hot to shoot for very long.  But I thought these were at least interesting and fun :)
