In the Studio 1/25 - 1/31

As I put the final touches on my Gods and Monsters book, I'm starting to take appointments again. I also have Pride and Phoenix Fan Fusion coming up, and I'll be painting at both!

My next project Tarot has the initial paintings complete.

Most immediately I'm painting Jay Ericson from the band Abrasions. Previously in Direct Collapse, and various other musical experiences. He's coming in from California.

Hey friends! Going to try to push past the flu and nausea to finish my book by next week. It's been so much work to produce this. I've been a little overwhelmed, if we're being honest, but it's nice seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. First Black Light Paintings - 2013

Before Neon City, I dabbled with Black Light Paintings. These ground zero! The first two body paintings I did on Josh and Tony back in 2013. I've come a long way, haven't I?

Tyler and I have a long history together. After I did my first body painting on William in 2013, we discussed doing a piece together. We didn't have a lot of time for our first session, and I didn't have the best materials. It was a mixture of liquid makeup from Party City and acrylic paint. Deep Dive: Journey Of Adam

When I met Adam in 2008, I had gone through a pretty long period of dating (and frankly finding the wrong people). I was also taking care of family and providing them housing. This was a huge financial and emotional drain, and I rarely had much of my own space. Growing up was difficult, but I was frequently one of the more stable ones.

Death Smiles w/ Josh

A customer (thank you!) requested an old print of Josh from the "Death Smiles" body painting, so I thought I'd share a few more from way back then!  Sometimes it doesn't feel like I've been painting that long, but this was from 2013! I believe I was using Ben Nye cream based paints (which I miss using from time to time). The models don't miss washing it off though!

Friday I'm In Love

What a ride this series has been! From Cthulhu to Dionysus, Pan to Oya, Midas to Anubis, we've explored the world. Celebrating rich mythology as interpreted through my art.

Some fun updates!

Book is nearly done!
The book is about 75-80% complete. I wanted to create an experience you would want to enjoy reading as well as viewing, so every single body painting has featured text describing the art, the God or Monster, and other important elements. Where Neon City was a wonderful collection to be enjoyed in any order you desired, this has a very specific path. By the way, this is Brett from LA, a very talented actor!
