Back from Camp!

Wow! Words fail me, but I had such an incredible time at Heart Camp.

So many of the counselors said "you would have no idea it was your first year". Even kids from other cabins said they wanted my back!

I helped with their skit, and people said it was the most memorable sing a long they have seen in years and started to recite it on the spot.

Got so much love throughout the week and everyone affirmed I was doing a good job- which I don't know why it surprised me, but ...

The Pride Post - Part One

It's officially the end of the month, and I'm preparing for my final Pride painting for June.

The Pride Project - Atlas Steele

Hello everyone! I spent some time this week working on prototypes for my new Pride collaboration, which as you read previously, is a big group of people!

I've heard from a number of people that they want to work with me, so I created a team to transform a dozen people for Pride!

To help me get started, Atlas volunteered to model for me (even on a twisted ankle)! We did have to reschedule once for him to heal, but he was a real trooper!

Werk in Progress? Sure!

Recently a supporter of my work commissioned me to paint Bennett on canvas, but merge him into one of my old paintings that he was fond of.

Instead of one painting, I took two very different approaches to the assignment (potentially three)!

Here are some progress photos of the painting, taken by my best friend Jerome 🫶🏻

About last night..

It was amazing! During the night we made great art, took lots of photos, and we went on a journey.

What's Happening In The Week Ahead!

I'm moments away from meeting about a Pride photoshoot involving a VERY large group of people. I'm trying to keep the numbers manageable, but dozens of people are interested, from around the country. It helps that it's free :P

Felix will be there, which is why I've included some new edits of him here! I'm working on the casting process now, but he's for certain.

I'm also painting him later this week!

It's been really slow this year, and although I'm trying my best to get bookings, they just aren't there right now... unless I give them away.

I'm not taking it personal, but it's pretty crushing when art is how you support yoursel...

Light Bright

It's a new month! To start things off right, I finally got a new ring light, after my last one (thanks to the kind support of a Patron) stopped working. RIP

Immediately I wanted to test it, and let's just say... I LOVE IT! It has a few extra features, and a convenient carrying case for when I travel.

I'm working on scheduling paintings again, so please look forward to NEW art soon, as well as some old favorites returning.
