Mason could hardly believe how much Lila could take. He was no stranger now to women enjoying themselves in the bedroom, but the girl seemed made for this. Her smile never left her face. After a solid hour of getting pounded in multiple positions, and definitely after several orgasms, she didn’t go slack or look totally overwhelmed.
But she was definitely wearing down. Mason was behind her now, buried and slapping into her, lost in his own pleasure. She came up and turned at the waist...

Mason didn’t want to just get up and leave the feast. After his experience with the elves, he knew cultural offence could be swift and confusing, and he figured he’d wait until Night Eyes sorted things out. Lila wasn’t quite so patient.
The horny Australian was officially groping him under the table. The damn toga he’d put on for the feast left him pretty exposed, and her hands were touching everything she could squeeze. It wasn’t like Mason was complaining, but the g...

“I’m an Ambassador, and an Entertainer,” Lila said as they approached the centaur’s main feasting grounds and many rows of tables. Mason blinked and looked at his guide.
He was still trying to get over the whole ‘flat out rejecting her sexual advances’ thing without any awkwardness. So he figured being pleasant would be a start.
“What’s that?”
“My civilian classes,” she said, face neutral. “The people I was with are dead. The players. The civilians. T...

Mason spent the next hour in the strangest conversation of his life. He and the centaurs didn’t say much. But Lila filled most every silence with stories about her life since the tutorial, using clever, careful language so as not to give away the ‘game’.
She may have looked like a warrior-princess, but she talked like a rich socialite. She’d been captured somewhere up north, and it seemed she was a kind of human mascot for the ‘Green Sea’ tribe. She went to all their negotia...

Night Eyes seemed to be a centaur of his word. He sent the others out to stop the hunt and protect what was left of the herd, giving them some kind of mark of his leadership.
Mason just watched and listened without a word. If they tried to trick him and killed the animals, he wasn’t sure what he’d do. But it wouldn’t be pleasant.
He felt more or less the same way about centaurs as he did about orcs. All he’d seen from both them was violence towards humans or elves. And whi...

“Welcome back.” Mason grinned as the White Stag stepped from some trees in the fey and stared at him with its dark eyes. He had just stepped into the fey from the tree in Nassau. The stag had apparently been waiting.
I never left, ranger. It was only my meaningless prime form that was destroyed.
“Interesting. So if I come to the fey you’re always here? And uh, does it hurt, you know, when you get killed in the prime?”
Of course i...

Blake blinked and saw Annie’s pretty face looking down at him. He smiled and stretched before he felt like vomiting.
Also there was some asshole orc smashing a drum next to his ear. He went up to his elbows to tell the idiot to fuck off when it became clear there was no drum.
“How do you feel?” Annie’s big eyes were all concern and sweetness and you just wouldn’t know she was a demon-slaying, axe swinging mangler a few minutes ago. At least, you wouldn’t if she wasn’...

Hope you're all doing well! Book 3 drops in 4 days. Book 4 will be out May 10, what do we think of the cover? Audio of #2 should be ready by April 16. Audio #3 will start immediately after, probably take about a month.
Mini-update:
My month of catch-up is over. It was busy, but also kind of restful. I got a lot of editing done, but slightly less writing than I hoped. At least writing on The Great Game. Remember that 'Magic Island' I gave you about 5 chapter...

Book number 2 on Amazon! The audio is probably a month out or so. Thanks as ever for all the support that got us here.
I'll be releasing a book in the series every month all year, always on the 10th. Link below. Also, I love this version of Rebecca on the cover.

TL:DR - as of Monday, I'll be taking a 1 month break from posting any chapters. However I'll also pause billing so you won't be charged anything until we restart. You'll get the next chapter of The First Great Game on April 7.
'But...why is the rum gone?'
Basically because I've bumped up my release schedule on Amazon/Audible, and I really need to play editing catch up (Side note: I hate editing). This always takes longer than I expect or want, and I don...

Blake was impressed. Apparently the demon lord had lain some kind of trap. All the spells and demonic projectiles now doubled or maybe tripled in intensity. The larger demons previously waiting at the back now charged into combat, often trampling the smaller insects with obvious contempt.
The orc line stopped advancing. Their heavy infantry lifted their shields and held their ground as the spearmen behind them at least jabbed and held back the creatures from overrunning them.
Halv...

Shrapnel and metallic pinging sprayed and bounced around Blake’s construct, bits of wood ripping with holes as the bull-figurehead roared.
“Jesus Christ!” Blake shouted, holding Seul-ki down beneath him and focusing on his shield. “Is he aiming at the God damn train?”
For a moment Blake considered standing up and tossing the goblin’s weapon with telekinesis. Instead he moved his senses to Annie somewhere out there slashing demons.
He blinked as ‘h...

It wasn’t just the greater demon with magic. Navi flickered with effort at Blake’s side, calling out spells as half a dozen kinds of spells flared between the approaching armies.
Blake really wished he’d had the time to appreciate how cool it all was. But the bugs were definitely trying to kill him. Like specifically him. Like a lot of the time.
It was a bit rude.
“They don’t like you, wizard!” shouted the orc lord from beside Blake’s train, his shamans’ magi...

Blake’s train had become a convertible. Demons managed to rip off the boards and coverings, and now the players were forced to knock, slash, and Telekinetically hurl them off as they climbed and tried to get inside.
His constructs, of course, were keeping that number to a minimum. He’d lost his ball-and-chain, but created three more (a kind of preying mantis looking thing, a tube with spinning baseball bats, and a weight with legs that…jumped on things).
The Primordial const...

Blake’s bull-train juggernaut roared in glee as it crushed another beetle-demon. He and the girls held onto their seats as the thing rocked and shook, more demons crawling on the now ripped-open hole on the roof.
The demons couldn’t seem to get through the sides, but the top of the ‘train’ wasn’t armored, and some kind of flying bug-demon had managed to grab a board and tear at least two off before Blake tossed it away with Telekinesis.
Annie stood and slashed off anothe...

Blake closed his latest portal in eighteen seconds, which should have made him happy. But his ‘plan’ had a tiny flaw. Portals just kept on opening, and he was quickly running out of mana.
Even now, swapping half his mind to Meditation, with Seul-ki’s regen and boosting of his Meditation, he just couldn’t keep up. He’d have to start draining Seul-ki soon, which he really didn’t want to do until it was desperate. But there wasn’t much in the way of options.
Either Blak...

“I’m a nasty piece of work,” said Blake’s comic book, ‘demon slayer’ construct. “Just ask anybody.”
It took a long, fake drag on its fake cigarette, and tried to toss it away a few times before realizing it was built into its finger. Blake shook his head and mentally gestured at the portals.
“Just go help kill demons, please.”
The thing looked ready for another one liner but Blake mentally slapped it forward. He hoped it had some use other than that sword...

Blake sagged to his favorite chair in the white tower laboratory, completely drained of mana and mental energy. He grinned up at the multi-coloured, insanely shaped collection of constructs and just…random creations, with a kind of artistic joy.
At some point he’d stopped really planning or considering his designs. As the hours passed he gave in more and more to…intuition, letting his new Primordial Making create whatever he (and it) damn well pleased.
There was a couch with...

Mason nearly flew down the pathways and ramps around the Nexus, looking for Carl and a few others. He had to admit to himself he was excited to leave Nassau, to go south, to explore on his own. All that remained was to make sure they were protected in his absence.
It wasn’t that he felt trapped in the settlement, exactly. And of course he loved being with his girls, and would have happily spent a lifetime safe with them, not worrying about the dangers of the post-apocalypse.
But...

Mason woke with a new dawn, his beautiful elven concubine Ayet sleeping beside him. Ayet was also the mother of his new elven bride—a fact he still somewhat struggled to comprehend. She certainly didn’t look like she could be anyone’s mother.
Her lithe, youthful body pressed against him, sending little pulses of desire. Her wavy brown hair covered his arm as she used it like a pillow, and memory of the night before flashed through his mind. It had truly...

Haley straddled Mason and lowered down to slide his hard length between her lower lips. She leaned forward to kiss him gently as she moved back and forth, making little moans as she did.
“Did your concubine please you, master?”

En route to get Dariya back to her house, Mason started to realize something: the elves probably didn’t know Ayet had become his concubine.
In fact, they hadn’t actually told anyone. After the nymph pool, and before they’d even really got back into their house, the demon invasion had…interrupted things.
Which meant before anything he needed to tell Haley. And he needed to do it quickly. He trudged on with Ayet holding one arm, Dariya holding the...

Phuong sliced off another chunk of the demon with his Soulblade as it kept on screaming threats and profanity in his mind.
There was quite a bit of terrible and creative variety. But ‘I’ll rip you apart’, and ‘I’ll eat your fucking soul while you scream for mercy’ summed it up. Phuong ignored the voice, and cut.
Every landed blow visibly splattered a physical piece of the strange creature. For once, his attacks seemed far more effective than Carl’s. Or anyone else’...
