I also finished an illustration of Ingrid and Mercedes!
Please note that this illustration in particular will NOT have a nude version (though the full-size version will be available) because I didn't really plan on drawing this. The reason I did is a combination of things namely: mainly I wanted to practice using my new brushes, but I also wanted to draw Mercedes' summer outfit, and also I was inspired by this screenshot I took while I was exploring locations in Three Houses.
I added Ingrid because I also wanted to practice drawing more than 1 character 😁
It's not quite sexy like my usual stuff because I was focused on other stuff (like showing of the background, practicing using my brushes etc) I hope you like it anyway! But do look forward to the lewds for this month though ^^

I didn't end up adding a nude variation for the Rhea leotard set so I drew a new leotard one lol. Actually art-wise, there's a few stuff that happened in between drawing the Rhea leotard set and the Shamir illustration.
Basically I made a bunch of new brushes because I need to streamline the way I draw/paint certain stuff like hair/pubes, sweat, some surface textures and foliage. Quite happy with how some of the brushes turned out especially the hair and sweat :3 Honestly playing around with brushes and coming up with ways to create interesting details is pretty fun in its own way.
I think that's all for now! Next time I'll talk about the Rhea doujin (no spoilers) because I'm getting quite a bit of headway with that ^^

Small intermission before I work on Shamir.
If you didn't see my tweet, I was wondering what Rhea and Palutena would look like side by side because someone always comments mistaking the two. That's the motivation for this this but I just can't see it - the hair ornaments alone is an instant tell that they're different characters. Oh well, it's not like it's the end of the world lmao. What do you guys think?

Someone suggested for me to draw Rhea wearing a leotard so I tried because I was curious. In the end I think I added way too much wrinkles (because it's fun lol) There's a bit of inconsistency with the way I draw Rhea but, thanks to drawing the doujin, I'm slowly getting to a point where I'm able to draw her consistently ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) (I think my figures in general improved though so it's a win-win either way ^^)

I wasn't satisfied with the previous Wiz piece so I had to redraw her. I'm still not quite 100% with this but I think it's a step in the right direction and for now I'm quite satisfied with it. Smiling Wiz is really the best Wiz ^_^

I'm sorry for the delay. I really take my time when it comes to finishing rewards (I get very lazy at times, to be honest >﹏<)
Anyway, the Rhea doujin is going quite well and I think I may just be able to finish it in time for July 26. Only 58 days remain but I have a feeling I might make it! I won't be posting WIPs since I think that ruins the surprise. Maybe I'll post the cover image once I finish that but it'll be a little while before I get there.
It's been a while since I drew Wiz and I gotta say this one doesn't quite feel right to me. I think it's because I was mostly practicing how to shade light fabrics. It doesn't have the usual beaming happiness of my Wiz stuff so I'll need to redraw her soon.

So I wanted to have different lighting schemes for the doujin and so I started practicing/trying out various lighting schemes. After a while I somehow ended up with this one ^^ The biggest point is that the lighting is coming from the bottom-left and overall has a darker shading compared to my usual style (btw, I typically position the light at the top-right of the illustration) Anyway I quite like how this one turned out and so I want to really explore different lighting schemes for the doujin. I don't think I mentioned this, but the doujin will be in full-color because I grayscale just doesn't look right to me.
The full non-cropped version will be available as part of April rewards (along with 2B, the other Rhea, and a couple more illustrations)

Not surprised with the result at all. It's pretty cool how she's still popular after all these years. I hope more people come to know and love Wiz, the Neps and Rhea for the years to come 😌
I'm doing my part in spreading the teachings of the Church of My Wife, err, Church of Seiros with another Rhea illustration! Bros I just... I just love her so much. I love her so much she gave me the courage to finally confront my art nemesis called Lineart!
So basically I need to have consistent lineart for my Rhea doujin and the problem is I don't. I really don't understand lineart at all. Anyway, I've been experimenting a lot lately and I think I may be on the cusp of solving the problem. I'm not going into detail right now because honestly it's still a mystery to me and I feel like I'm still feeling in the dark lmao. But here's something that's probably close to what I'm looking for! The lines are crisp, have roughly the same size (and my brush doesn't require micro pen pressure control), and best of all, it looks decent and even better? I can actually color with it! Probably my best lineart brush to date lmao.

I might finally, FINALLY get good at lineart! And it's all thanks to Rhea for pushing me ( ´ ▽ ` ) It's amazing how much she enriches my art (and life ^^)

Alright we have a few things to talk about so let's get into it!
First of all, long time no Wiz! ^^ I actually attempted to draw her a few times. My ideas for her were mostly cute/wholesome but recently I wanted to draw a little more sexy/provocative stuff so there was quite a tug-of-war in my mind. I think it shows in this piece but honestly I'm just happy I finished another Wiz illustration. I promise I'll draw more wholesome illustrations of her ( ´ ω ` )

And lastly, doujinshi(it's a fan-manga/comic if you're not familiar with the term)
This was the reason that I paused/was inactive in February. So what happened was that I started drawing a doujinshi but I quickly realized that it was so much harder than I thought. I don't want to drama post but to cut it short, I didn't know what I was doing so I kept failing/not meeting my expectations/everything felt so off and wrong. Eventually I became so frustrated that I lost the motivation to draw completely. Feelsbadman.
The good news is it's one of those "It gets worse before it gets better" kind of things. So after a few days of just not doing art, my spirit slowly lifted and with a clearer mind I was able to approach it more calmly.
And that brings us to today! I've been practicing techniques for drawing manga and I'm really starting to get the hang of it. My main problem was that I was treating it like a regular illustration but it's actually story telling. I'll leave it at that because I don't want to get into the technical stuff right now, but I just feel so motivated recently because I can see my improvement in drawing manga, even if it's just small steps. Feelsgoodman ^^
That's the gist of it. Can you guess which character inspired me to draw a doujinshi? It's pretty obvious if you look at my recent obsession with a certain character. It's just I have a scenario brewing in my mind that just won't leave my head and I just absolutely have to draw it. And I feel the best way to get it out is in doujinshi form.
Alrighty I think that's everything! There's 121 days until July 26. That day marks the 2nd anniversary of Fire Emblem: Three Houses and self-imposed deadline for my Rhea doujinshi. Knowing me, I'll probably miss it, but dammit I'll release my Rhea doujinshi this year! Let's goo!!!

It took me so long to post this because I really wanted to accompany the post with a drawing. I went with Rhea because I really wanted to draw something from the back and Rhea was just the perfect candidate. Butt yeah, you know I've been wondering about how she recovered from Silver Snow after being imprisoned in Enbarr or after the finale of SS, and I keep imagining that she starts doing yoga lmao (or some medieval equivalent to it). And in my headcanon, Byleth marries her after helping her recover from her injuries, obviously there's a bunch of things that happen in between but I'll save that for another time lol.

That said, Dorothea and Mona were really neck and neck and in the unadjusted poll results, Dorothea won by a mere 1 vote. So I think I'm just going to draw them both since you guys seem to like both.
Speaking of "both", I was actually planning to draw Rhea in Dorothea's outfit but I wanted to give her a partner. That was when I remembered Judith! I'm calling this the Mommy Alliance and their first agenda is to discuss the merits of sitting on my face lmao It's such a shame they're both unplayable. 2021 started terrible for me so I'm taking a few more days to finish the December rewards. I know I'm really late but please bear with me for just a few more days 🙏🙏
In the meantime, I finally finished a Wiz illustration! I honestly really love how this turned out. Smiling Wiz just makes me happy ^^
On another note, January 11 is Rhea's birthday so I'm gonna try to finish another Rhea drawing for her special day! ^^

Sorry for the lack of activity in the past 2 weeks! I didn't draw for like half a week and it took me nearly a week to return to form (art sucks sometimes lol) So I didn't manage to finish a Christmas illustration.
Anyway I have the poll winner Mercedes in a dancer outfit! Imagine if she wears a dancer outfit when you dance with her at the Goddess Tower. That's basically how I came up with this drawing haha.
Rewards will be a bit late (around the 7-9th, so basically the usual lmao) since I want to draw another Rhea plus the wildcard, plus the nude variations. For now though, I'm gonna try to finish a Wiz illustration. There's only like 5 hours left before New Year where I live so I don't think I'm gonna finish on my time, but hey it would still technically be 31st somewhere else right? :P

I'm posting on an unusual hour because I'm having a bit of computer problems. Basically it seems like my SSD where my OS is stored is starting to fail (it started with the power outages during the typhoons last month) I've backed up all my important files so even if it gets bricked today at least my files are safe. Still, I'm getting paranoid and it's such an annoyance thinking of possibly even more downtime.
Anyway, I was excited about Clip Studio Paint's new timelapse feature so I drew Rhea to test it out. I gotta say I'm quite happy with it! I don't mind the ginormous filesize of my files (this one is 500mb) because I find my own process interesting to watch lol ^^ I might add a nude version for this or I might just draw another Rhea :3
