Dialogue

Writing dialogue is like playing a game of tennis with yourself. You go with what feels right and surprise your other self with what you can come up with. An action, a sentence, a decision leads to another, just like a real-world conversation.

Back and forth.

I love doing it. Letting the pencil go free and take me where it will. What does it mean when you do so in Interactive Fiction? A headache, of course, but one meant for my future self.

Progress Report

Friday is upon us!

And thus, it's time to make the first Progress Report on Patreon. Sometimes the MC can say such outlandish, ridiculous things, that I have to stop for a moment and really think about how the characters could possibly react to that 😄

To be so charmingly disarming that I can't imagine any other possible response but absolute cold-dead silence. At this point, I like to think that I have Alessa pretty much figured out, and yet, sometimes I struggle with trying to write how she reacts to you.

A word of gratitude

I want to take a moment to thank everyone! I made this page without any expectations, and yet, there are 50 of you already and 😭.

I also want to say that, upon further reflection, I've decided it was a bit silly to keep the Q&A benefit locked to a goal - especially since answering in-character is so much fun to me :) And I get to FINALLY talk about all the new characters that appear in the demo.
