Hello Patrons!

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas yesterday and an even greater festive break 💖

The past week was used to finish off Chapter 4 - finally! I took a few days off from writing after that because of Christmas weekend and then started with the side stories. I normally post an update schedule for the side stories, however, this month has been quite chaotic so I will be writing and updating the stories as they are completed.

The Light of Cerura - Ahlf's side story

In this side story, read about the experience of the MC's birth and how Ahlf responded to it. The MC is never referred to by gender or name. I have also kept the appearance of the infant MC very neutral with only descriptions of having wrinkled skin or a ruddy face from being born so feel free to imagine your own MC in place of the infant MC.

Chapter Four is finally done!

After much restless days and a lot of stressing, I finally finished chapter 4. There's a lot that I dislike about the chapter - mainly because a lot of interaction has been replaced with plot and action scenes that needed to be told.

I left out a few romance scenes at the end of the chapter because of time and also, I am quite frankly sick and tired of writing scenes on ships 😅 I'll be coming back and editing and adding stuff to chapter 4 when I'm done with the game, so it's playable...

I've just completed Elora's RO and friendship scenes and all that's left is to write Oren's scene. I'm taking a break from writing today - I've been writing non-stop from Sunday and while I am in a good flow of getting scenes out, I'm also feeling a little tired and the looming burnout that comes from writing too long and too much.

Weekly Devlog: 28 November - 4 December 2022

I hope you've all had a wonderful start to December. With edits finally over, I can finally move on to Chapter 4! Hello Patrons!

I finally finished edits on Chapter 3 which has been sent to my testers. I'm hopeful that there won't be any major bugs so that I can have the demo posted for you by the weekend. Nomad tier Patrons will receive the updated demo by next weekend.

This past week has been filled with revisions - when is it not? I've made some decent progress on the interlude scenes - I'm on the last part of the interlude scene, where the MC can choose to return to their chamber. What took up time with this was the letter potions of the scene. There were three letters, each with five responses, meaning fifteen different variations. This is just a portion of how a response to one letter looks.

Crown Sneak Peek

I finally wrote a scene that was constantly being brought up in the asks - plaiting Crown's mane and making use of ribbons 😂 I hope to have it brought up by Chapter 4 - after all, I'm pretty sure Crown's plaited mane with golden ribbons will be pretty eye-catching.

As promised, here is a little sneak peek of an 'interlude' scene in Chapter 3. I was never happy with the flow of the chapter after visiting Zikar and the MC's family with Elora. It felt too abrupt with the next scene being the banquet, so I've gone back and added in more choices for the MC to do - this also slows the pace down and gives the MC a bit more time to explore the rest of the palace.

This past week has been filled with endless days of revisions - sigh.

I've really gotten quite bored of revisions, but the end is nearly in sight. I mostly worked on Sir Oren's side game and fixing any lingering bugs with that and this week, I'll be working on Chapter Three's edits. The revised chapters 1 and 2 are here. Chapter 1 simply adds in a small scene at the temple - petting Crown, dealing with Ahlf's loss and if you chose an idol in the prologue, you can pray to it.
