Another attempt of me trying thin lineart. It sure is really make things clean a lot easier than my usual drawing method. 

I'll totally try this approach of drawing more in the future and see if the result will be any different from my old works XD

Commission Cynic (WIP2)

Here is another WIP of my last commission of this batch. A second outfit design for the same character. 

The customer request for a cold climate tribal vibe outfit. So I took some inspiration from Ainu tribe. Their outfit design is really cool! Mixing it with some fur decoration to help showing the cold climate vibe.

I'm almost done with this commission! It takes a lot longer than I expect, so I'm really sorry for anyone who are waiting for me to open for commissions again. I...

This commission is also another one that I tried doing a more refined lineart. But like... I think it only helps making the contour cleaner. I'm still not used to coloring under lineart, so I ended up painting over it like I normally do lol.

Commission Porforever (Sketch+Color)

The commissioner request this illustration to have the same feeling as those old victorian portrait paintings. Which is very fun and new for me XD

Mostly, what I tried to do using is the brown-ish color scheme and some rough texture to help selling the old feeling in this picture. 

Commission Cynic (WIP1)

These are all the progress for the design of her body and her first outfit. (There is a second outfit). 

Usually, I do around 2-3 designs for the customer to pick from. The process depends on what the customer wants. For this commission, they want both naked body and clothed, so I have to design when she's naked as well. 

Doing this commission makes me want to do a personal character design again 😭

I was very conflicted about background! I mean, it's not that much different, but I still can't decide which one is better, a complete white or a bit painted.

Because the main body of the character isn't changed much at all, I only was asked to design that giant black arm and the black thing cover her axe, also burn her outfit a little bit 😆

This is one of a few times I get to draw my own OC in a commission, let alone a body pillow XD

The tricky part on this commission is making the proportion and color the same on both pictures. I have to use eye drop tool to copy the color to avoid making them too different.

For this picture, I adjusted the overall color a lot. If you see the color sketch on a WIP post, you will see that her shade is a lot darker. But as I was working on it, I think it's too dark. So, I lighten it up many times using Add(Glow) with low saturation color to not mess with my overall color scheme too mu...

I really love a beach scene, because I love its color scheme so much. Blue sky, Greenish blue of the ocean, white/yellow sand, they all work together so well!
