Ohhhhh, y'all, it's been a while since I've seen such powerful women on display in a Shonen!
This was definitely a "ladies' choice" episode with so much going on! And I loved that so much was brought up with these characters that usually isn't discussed with a Shonen...it passes the Bechdel Test with FULL MARKS, I'll say that! ^^

I went into these two films expecting just a few extra scenes and mainly recaps of Season 2...Oh. OH. How wrong I was!
From Rin's family (OMG) to integrating our characters from Starting Days into the story, there's so much good stuff in both of these films! I was so pleasantly surprised watching them! Free! You did it again!

Ohhhh, SO MUCH happens in this episode! I'm already hyped and curious about everything being set up:
* This new guy, Yao, and his connection to best boy, Xichen
* The feral hand and the coincidental circumstances of it all
* More flashback goodness (or pain, however you look at it)
* WuXian and Wangji as detectives?! YES, PLEASE.

This show loves to "set up" moments and then the payoff is exactly what you DON'T expect to happen! I love it! I feel for our boy Atsushi, who is clearly having a lot of PTSD from his time in the orphanage and struggling to move forward from it...
...hopefully, though, seeing that this Agency is well off taking care of any problems should help! And this Port Mafia....

If you told me when I started this episode that by the end, I was going to not only be squealing about a panda, but also nearly tearing up about a man using a surrogate mech's backstory, I would have said you were crazy...but here we are.
This episode was full of action and full of surprises! Also, baby Panda is ADORABLE.

Shohoku is put to the test with the first half of the battle with Sannoh -- particularly Rukawa with Sawakita, Akagi with Masashi, and Sakuragi...with Masashi's "little" brother?!

Oh ho ho, so Adam has history with Cherry and Joe, has beef with Reki, and a seeming obsession brewing with Langa! So, there's THAT.
But just like this show, there's a lot going on under the surface and I think I'm going to find myself deconstructing Adam and his personas...just a feeling. ^^

Well, it took 15 volumes and a season of anime, but Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun finally made me draw tears. And WHAT tears shed! This volume was touching on such serious, heart-wrenching themes with Kou and Mitsuba...my heart was breaking for our boy, Kou!
