Just when I think I have a handle on this intricate web of relationships between our characters, Banana Fish comes in and drops a bomb on my expectations! I can't remember the last time a manga made me cry, but here we are.
This whole volume was BEAUTIFUL and has officially cemented Slam Dunk as masterful to me...now I am SO ready for this tournament to start! LET'S FRIGGING' GO!
Thank goodness we get the melodrama out of the way, because who knew an abandoned lighthouse would be so hilarious?! Our quartet gets some bonding time and we learn about Mako's fear of the ocean -- these boys are too precious, y'all!

I thought the first fourth (6 episodes) of Banana Fish was intense, but this episode just ramped it up to an ELEVEN....ALREADY! I can't believe everything that went on this episode -- what an episode!
