This has been the longest light novel I've tackled so far and it's SO good! Teiko fireworks festival, Riko & Hyuuga early Seiren goodness, Kagami & Himuro kid adventures in America, the hunt for Tsuchida's girlfriend, Yosen Snowscapades...and....Aomine's sexual awakening?!
There's...a LOT to talk about with this third light novel, but I'm getting hooked on these, that's for sure!

Oh my GOSH, Jean-Jacques had my HEART in this episode, as you can probably tell by the thumbnail! He was definitely tugging at ye ol' heartstrings!
But there's a lot going on this episode, from tragic backstory with Astolfo (and it is TRAGIC), to Jeanne and Vanitas teaming up to save Chloe, to Noe getting in on the fight, to everything becoming chaos as things get down to the wire to save the vampires and escape this bizar...

After that episode of backstory with Vash, we're still getting crumbs and FINALLY, Wolfwood is BACK! There's been a gap in time, though, since Vash went on the run, but trouble hasn't left of course, and the two end up as partners yet again!
This episode was so stylistic, emotional, and really well done! "I haven't seen someone kick so much ass before" will be stuck in my head for a while now!

This volume is STACKED with amazing chapters, from "Midnight Sun" to "The Basement" to "That Day," there's just so much to look forward to and Isayama does NOT let down when it comes to the artwork throughout!

We get not only the conclusion of the Semifinal game of Rakuzan and Shutoku, but the heart of Kaijou vs. Seiren! I'll be honest, Kaijou vs. Seiren I had NOT remembered a lot from the anime, so it was good to get this refresher -- and see how amazing the mangaka makes Kise look! He is a MODEL in this volume set!

**Lucky Headphone Warnings**
For only three chapters of content - Chapters 3 & 5 have no translations - I really appreciated that this light novel not only expanded on the audio dramas I've seen (filling in the gaps) but gave us so much more content!

So far, THIS is my favorite episode! I LOVED this -- the mystery with Zodd, the horror of Guts with his first encounter of the supernatural, the intrigue with Griffith and the behelit, and the "sharpening" of our would-be "love triangle"...

Welp, this episode tapped into one of my least favorite things to watch, while simultaneously giving me something I REALLY enjoy watching: GRIMMER!
