We are FINALLY getting answers to Yu's past, his relationship with Mika(chaela), and Siga Madu's mysterious orgins seem right on the edge of being revealed...just in time to be caught up with the series! **shakes fist**
These volumes were some of my favorites so far -- I'm glad to have Mika back, even if it's as Cursed Gear -- at least he can be with Yu forever now...right?

Oh, I was not expecting the tonal whiplash this volume takes! On the one hand, we get HILARIOUS hijinks with the Fire Tribe brothers Kyo-ga and Tae-Jun, get to meet their mother (whom I love already), get bread crumbs of Yona's family lore, and get some amazingly romantic HakYona moments.
On the other hand, we get anxiety induced by Gobi (who sadly is still around), KeiShuk (who sadly is a new thorn in our sides), a new Kai Empire antagonist...

This episode went so HARD! Ufotable just slaying with the fight choreography and animation; Gyutaro being SO creepy and intriguing; Tanjiro and everyone pushing themselves beyond their limits to defeat this pair of deadly demons!
The gore is gruesome, the animation stunning, and the cliffhangers are as nerve-wracking as ever...and we still have one episode left of the season. This was a perfect penultimate episode and I can't wait to talk about it...
