FFX ladies doodles

Not nsfw, but this came out most naturally for me today. I've been having a lot of trouble finding inspiration and motivation lately, so my therapist recommended that I stop searching for it, and just go for it. Just drawing when I don't want to, even if it's only for a few minutes. It can be difficult, but I can feel myself getting better.

This Nami/Vivi piece is going kinda slow. I'm in a detail heavy part of the piece and my shoulder does NOT like that hahaha. I do go to my pain management doctor tomorrow though, so hopefully we can get my arm back to working function soon :')

Personal update

Hey, guys! Happy Friday!

I just wanted to apologize for the lack of posts this month. I'm in the midst of getting my life situated in a couple of ways. I started seeing a therapist two weeks ago, and also finally received a diagnosis for my shoulder which we are in the process of fixing. It turned out to be tendonosis and mild swelling in my bone marrow (which sounds scarier than it actually is.) NaVi Process (pt.1)

Hey, guys! Here's some process for a NaVi illustration I'm doin!

I start with a really rough sketch (above), getting the flow down more than the anatomy.

This is followed by a slightly more cleaned up sketch where I mess with anatomical stuff, and then I do a FINAL sketch/cleanup that I slap color onto. Around that point, I tend to start combining layers, beginning the painting process.

For my first time in Clip Studio, I think this came out okay! There was a bit of messing around, getting used to everything, but I can definitely see myself getting rid of Photoshop in exchange for this program. I love the blending and the alpha brush the most @w@

I'm really enjoying Clip Studio so far! I feel bad for taking this long to try it (sorry, Joe). The brushes blend great, and I'm just generally having fun working in it! It's like if SAI and Photoshop had a baby, kind of lol

Hello! I hope you all had a nice Monday! Here's some wip/process stuff for a Nami I'm working on!

I always start with a very loose and messy sketch. For me, it's easiest to stay loose in the beginning so that the final piece isn't too stiff. I try to remember not too get focused on details at this point, just the overall picture.

After the sketch, I just slap color on as a base and work from there. I also usually mess with the color balance, levels, etc around now. Then, it's onto...

Sorry for the lull, guys! I only had one, really broken felt nib on my stylus and it was REALLY difficult to work with it. I finally got a nice set of hard plastic ones yesterday! So, expect stuff soon!

It was sudden, but in an entirely different way than with past rats we've lost. She was healthy, very bright and happy. She was an older rat at about three years, but she was doing well. And then, she started acting strangely. She was a bit off kilter, and slower. She was still grooming and playing though, and ate with no issue. My first guess was that it was a minor ...
