May 2024 Update

I've been trying to get more exercise recently. It's getting pretty nice outside; I love the warm weather. Anyway, on to the update:

• Son of a Witch 2 - No surprises with this one. I'll be working on this one almost exclusively. Updates will be every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The story will mainly focus on Kai's mom teaching him about magic. She believes the best way to learn is to make mistakes.

Kai/Kimi has a different philosophy about magic than the mother; she gives them a choice. Time to learn more magic!

This first part is mainly to follow up with Kai's interactions in the previous chapter, from Brandon and his mom to the barber. I was going to name the barber Barbra, but I feel like that was a little on the nose.

For future reference, updates will mostly happen on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. There might be cases where I'll miss a day or when I submit another project, but I'll try to stay consistent.

Interacting with Brandon's mom (Scarlet). Reality changed, so there are slight differences to what really happened.

And we're back by popular vote. The start of Chapter 2.

To recap, Kai turned himself back into a girl, but this time reality changed so he doesn't remember he was a guy. Brandon has completely forgotten. A good portion of this chapter will be navigating the way magic works.

I'm trying to streamline the process. I've scripted out to Page 44, and I have a general idea of where I want it to go. Hope you'll like this chapter.

Turns out, Chapter 1 of Midas Touch is almost half an hour long... I greatly underestimated how long it'd take to do a project of that length, especially since I want to have at least one image per minute. The Son of a Witch Part 3 video shouldn't take too long after that since I'm just using a similar format as the other two.

Anyway, I wanted to let you guys know, since I haven't been able to update recently. I'll start working on the winner of the poll result right when the poll finis...

April 2024 Plans

Happy Easter (yesterday)! Hope all is well. Time for the update.

• Reality Canvas Game: I've hit numerous problems with this, mainly from my inexperience and lack of time. Basically, the game is too large, both in scale and file size. I've spent many hours working on it and only done a fraction of what I wanted to do; plus, the game is already over 1 GB. To explain a bit why Kai immediately forgot she was a guy: she didn't use very much power to activate the enchantment. Remember, the lower the power, the faster reality sets in.

Looks like Kai has some talent in spells after all. Almost to the end. One more to go.

And the plot thickens! The first mention of wizards, and they are the enemy. Kai's going to test out his ability to cast spells (or in this case, activate enchantments).

And Kai is back. For those who translated the spell probably guessed what was going to happen. The ribbon has the power to transform him back into a girl.

I think I like making cult jokes when dealing with magic/supernatural stuff.

On a side note, I change this part of the story many times. At one point, I had them have a huge fight about why the mother changed Kai without asking; something along the lines that Kai only kept to himself and only came down when asked. The mother felt like she had failed as a parent and wanted Kai to come to her for help.

March 1 - 14

• Son of a Witch: Finish by March 14 at Page 148. It took a bit longer to finish than I thought it would (because I kept on changing plans). But, Chapter 1 is officially finished now. I'll be making videos for Part 2 and Part 3 sometime this month as well.

Side note: I finally finished this comic! Well, Chapter 1, at least. It'll be 148 pages long and the last page will be released on March 14. I can finally finally work on the Reality Canvas game exclusively.
