i hope i can get a fun "scifi pulp comic" vibe from this cover 

my first day in MHW update

almost ready to start painting.  i've been looking and different brush packs out there for clip studio, especially the oil brush variety to see if i want to get any of them

i really like the brushes in clipstudio more then photoshop.  though there are some features i will still need photoshop for, the bulk of my work will be in clip from now on

i only spent a half hour refining this one so it has a long way to go.  im using the oil brushes from clip studio to get a more painterly look

we are installing a new AC unit and that took most the day so i only go to do a bit of inking on Simone's philophana series.

barring any other real life call aways i will have more bald space monkey content and keep going with the kungfu comic i am making up as i go along  

my first day in monster hunter world

i'm not kidding.  I have never played a monster hunter game in my life but the game was on sale for about 60% off so this was pretty much my reaction.

now i have been playing for a few weeks, after i am done working, and i am just now getting away from being a "button masher".....mainly because i hit high rank and even the defender armor cannot help you.....and i am still wearing it because i  still don't really know what to go for next

i could not find any text that felt 100% "right" so i decided to just draw it free hand. and i finished the inking reference sheet for Risker

Yes!  Triceragation is done!  Now we can move on to focus on "Bald Space Monkey: The Asylum Contract"

I hope you are all pumped for this project because i have been looking forward to it for a while.

Space battles!   intergalactic black ops!  and of course plenty of bunny on space monkey fun time ;)

nuuuuuuuu! darn i had a bunch of stuff take me away from work so i did not get to finish the book today ....ah well finish it tomorrow

almost done!   just have the last flairs and then i can publish.  as soon as i do i will move right into "Bald Space monkey"

i will handle that slightly differently in terms of posting.  a week after i finish any non-smutty page i will post on my other sites to remind people i am still alive.  everyone still gets it first here and smutty parts will still be exclusive

adding the simple shadows.  when that is done i will add some color accents and paper texture and be finished

ALLRIGHTY THEN!  the base colors are all down.  now i can just finish the shadows and highlights then i can publish 

from now on unless i am doing a passion project i will just stick to my normal paint over technique, use EEVEE freestyle render for mechanical background line work and never do this method again because i am "trying to be faster"  boy was that a mistake

i needed a break from coloring triceragation so i worked on simone's commissions and one of the monsters that will show up a lot in bald space monkey....at least once we get to the action

it has been WAY  too long since i just drew shesheik or Mar and years since i tried updating their drawing models.  

when i am done with this drawing i plan to update shesheik first 

i need to figure out how to fix the topology in the space between her upper and lower arms as that spot really deforms weird in most poses
