looking at the folio now i could see that the reason most things looked kinda flat is because everything was "warm"  i needed a lot more cool colors to push the background "back"

i have always been envious of artist who just seem to be able to play with color and get amazing results.  i plan to enjoy it now that i can

boom! color fixes.  after years and YEARS of just not "getting" color, some how, some way, it finally clicked 

all those videos and teachers talking about color temp and the myriad of color relationships im finally able to understand and ever use 

now i can do a lot more interesting and deliberate things with color so buckle your eyeball seatbelts!  it going to get intense and harmonious

i started a traditional painting class to help me get better with color.  one of the teachers had an interesting take on my color blindness.

she said to view it more of a "gift" than a "hindrance" so long as i get my values correct si i will try just that

funny.  i added the purple and green to make the image more vibrant but it turns out to just make it gaudy

brought this folio back. i can see where it needs fixing and even the paper texture is not enough to unify it yet

found this, near finished work from a long time ago. dressed it up a bit to finish it.  made me think my old techniques were pretty ok.  

so my resolution is to bring back all the 3d paintovers i use to do and better combine it with what i have been striving for.
