remember this? well i felt the need to start it from the beginning. the new blender beta has a nice quick render system call Eevee and it gives me all the data i need for a render but only takes a minute to render when cycles would take 30+
with eevee renders being faster i don't feel as "invested" in any one render so i can try a lot more variety or poses and angles.
for this page, i might try drawing it a few more times just to see if i can get a lay our i am happier...

most of the lights and shadows are just place holders fro the time being. as i was working on this i thought it was turning out too drab so i blobbed in some harsher lights and darks to see how that would look

2 things
1 i am VERY glad i am no longer color blind because i don;t have to rely on paper textures to "unify" my color pallet anymore
2 having the cintiqe and drawing directly on the screen makes the whole process a lot more enjoyable and i can get a bit more life out of my drawings....regardless on whether i am using 3ds or not

so i was all set up for a good work day. then one of my friends called, asking for help moving furniture. unfortunately that took all day so i was not able to get as much done as i had planned. now that i am back i will get back to work and just make a bigger amount of posts tomorrow

after the fist page i felt was a touch "slow" and i don't want that for the whole book so i got out some of my old favorite comics and did a quick read through just to try and get me pumped for drawing stories
i made sure to exaggerate poses a lot more then i normally do to try and keep things visually interesting

i had an idea that was recently bugging me, of a monk going on a quest to get a blessing from a demonic deity and getting a bit more then he bargained for.
also the pages just seemed to explode from my stylus so i am going to ride this wave of creativity for as long as i can. and see if i can keep the dive in my other comics that i have started but not finished yet.
