Hey, all.  Aside from all the other stuff going on, this last week I was flattened by an illness that's left me unable to get any work done at all. I did this picture of a beer-enjoying gal because I am moving soon to beautiful Milwaukee, the home of beer!  I'm not sure I completely nailed this one but eh, I am very tired. I likely won't be getting as much done until after I've moved and settled in August - it has a way of sucking in all your attention.

An Unsolicited Endorsement

Thirsty Mermaids by Kat Leyh is a super queer, super body-positive and beautifully drawn comic about three mermaids who turn themselves into humans while drunk and can't figure out how to change back. It's a complete delight.  Also, it has a big fat sexy mermaid in it.  (Take a look at the cover and you'll see why it caught my eye...)  I recommend the hell out of it. Go bug your local library system about it if they don't have it already.

I'm almost all self-taught drawing-wise, so I'm decent at a lot of stuff on the surface but my fundamentals are pretty abysmal; I did some sketches following an online tutorial, trying to get a little better at basic figure drawing.  This one came out okay!
