August News...

Good morning everyone. With July coming to a close I figured I'd drop in and go over some thoughts and possible plans for August.

June and July were really rough art-wise... I've been battling with depression and the troubles I had with my tablet through a good chunk of July really slowed down my productivity. Chubby Ichi Kitty

Just a quick Ichimatsu I drew to test out how Illustrator was working. Everything seems to be in order now, luckily! So I hope I'll be able to get back to my regular work now. I'm a bit out of sorts with having to figure this all out for the past few weeks so it may take a few days before I get back into the swing of things. I will probably open some commission slots soon to try to cover some of the tablet costs and other stuff. Karabita (Tablet Practice)

Just a little Karabita I drew for practice tonight to see if I'd gotten things in working order.

Thank you everyone who offered advice on trying to fix the issues with my new tablet and art software. After uninstalling the Wacom drivers and seeing the problems with Adobe persisting, I determined it was likely being caused by the OS upgrade. So I restored the computer using a back up from before I upgraded the OS, reinstalled the Wacom drivers and everything seems to be working okay in P...

Iromatsu (New Tablet)

I was able to draw something fairly simple on the new tablet, hope it looks alright. For the most part, it works okay, but there are some things which are extremely buggy... I'm really hoping I can find a way to fix the problems. I'm not sure if they're from the tablet or from me upgrading to the new Mac OS (since I haven't used my art programs since doing that) or a mix of the two...

Another tablet update!

I got my new tablet! Looks good, everything appears to be in working order. I'm just waiting for Al to get home to help me figure out how to set up the on-screen express keys. I might christen it tonight with some snuggly Iromatsu and/or Karamatsu tummy! ^_^

Another Tablet Update

After fiddling around a little with the incorrect tablet I was sent and talking to Amazon customer service for a bit, I decided ultimately to send it back. After much online shopping, I deemed it probably impractical to get the same model I currently have. 

I spent a good amount of time researching tablets and ordered a 16" Cintiq last night... it's a bit bigger than my current one so I hope that still works out. I woulda been fine with another 13" but seems like Wacom doesn't have...

Tablet Update

I just got my replacement Cintiq in the mail... they sent me the wrong model. The reason I ordered the same model I have was to avoid having to DL new drivers etc. Plus I've read the newer model (which is what they sent me) doesn't play well with 2015 Macbooks (what I have).

So, I'll plug it in and see if I can get it working... but I'm likely going to send it back and start looking for something else. I'm super disappointed. I really wanted to be able to do some commissions and tra...

Crying Karamatsu

Just something I drew today inspired by my friend Sappy's wonderful Karamatsu story. I hope these iPad drawings are looking okay... I really can't tell, haha. I should hopefully be getting my new tablet soon...

Possible Delay, Tablet Issues

Hey everyone, I've unfortunately been having issues with my tablet so I think I'm going to either need to send it in for repairs or buy a new one. So there may be a delay in art over the next few weeks...

I'm waiting to hear back from Wacom customer support about getting it repaired (if possible, they may just tell me it's too old to work on...) the supposed turnaround for that is like two weeks I think.

In the meantime I may try to draw on the iPad some but I'm a bit limited on w...
