I got the Willem bookplate inked and colored last night. This illustration will be on the inside cover of all Willem books obtained through the Kickstarter, I hope you like it!

This page took me so long to complete! Why, oh why did I think it was a good idea to send DS back to that horrible grocery store? Haha. Good morning! Here is your Willem update for the week! RAGS is essentially useless in crisis situations, haha. Also, I got about three pages into drawing this girl when I realized I gave her the exact same hairstyle as (young) Jan from my comic Split Screen, haha! Derp. Oh well... Hope you are all having an excellent day so far!

Hey guys, how was your weekend? Mine was pretty good. I went out to the movies (Ted 2) and reread some comics (Preacher). I even had two sandwiches from East Side Deli. TWO! I hope it looks okay, I had to color a bunch of my comic pages last week on my laptop (which has a much smaller screen than my desktop where I usually work) after I hurt myself like an old person!

It took me a while to figure out how you would explain chubby people to someone who had never been around them, haha. I hope I did an okay job. Something tells me DS is going to misinterpret Ana's meaning though, haha.

Kickstarter and WOH! Update

Happy 4th of July everyone in the US! And Happy Super Amazing Saturday to everyone else! I was hoping to have a new page of Wings Over Hyrule next week, but today was the only day I had available to work on it and I am 98% certain that I just threw out my lower back. :( I'll likely be down for the count until tomorrow, I will try to get the page done then, but I don't have as much 'free' time tomorrow. I'll keep y'all posted. There will be new pages of Devil Spy and Willem.

Would you believe I wrote Willem's backstory before I saw AI a thousand years ago? I actually avoided watching it for a long time since I was working on a robot story. It does have a boy robot and his animal robot companion after all... this can only conclude that I and Stanley Kubrick are the same person. #Jaymzpeopleproblems Haha!

Wyatt and DS (but mostly Wyatt) Sketches

Morning everyone! I sketched Wyatt several times this week just because I like drawing him. He wont be on the first few pages of Chapter 3 so I might as well get some Wyatt drawings in now, haha.

I'm running a little behind on WOH! this week which means there's a possibility there will not be an update next week. It's just been one of those weeks where I ended up out of the house a lot more than I would've liked. :S But Devil Spy and Willem should be on time.

Step by Step Comic Making Process

This isn't so much a tutorial as just a step by step process of how I make a typical comic page. If you have any questions about specifics, I'll be happy to answer them. The majority of stuff I know about drawing comics I learned on my own with videos online or books or from friends. I don't really know everything there is to know about comic making and I'm sure I am doing some things the hard way, haha.

Willem Chapter 9 Title Page

The Willem book will include 8 new chapter pages. So from now on the online series will be divided by chapters too. Starting here with the beginning of Chapter 9 (which was actually supposed to happen between the ending of the villain arc and Moonshadow back at Amber's house but I didn't get the art done until yesterday). Once the book has been completed and my Kickstarter orders fulfilled, I'll be updating the online series with the improved/uniform older pages and inserting the chapter pages.&...

Willem Book Print Sketches

These are the sketches for the five print set I'll be offering as a reward in the Willem book Kickstarter. They'll be 8.5"x11" in size. There will be a little more space around the figures, not sure yet what I'll do with the backgrounds, but I am thinking different colors for each and maybe some action lines. I may put their hero names on the prints too. I need to fix the proportions (mostly of hands, my greatest drawing weakness other than backgrounds, haha) but I am mostly happy with how thes...
