Andy had originally the DeMars mention the cities Chicago and New York while remembering where they meet for first time.
At first i was ok with that, but for now i would like to avoid any reference or locations to things in real life, unless done in a parodic way, so the characters can't be tied to any kind of nationality in particular. You could relate them to certain ethnicities to give the universe a bit of diversity beyong orientation or gender.

When Andy wrote about the beach bully, he didn't specify any species and because syrenia beach is full of seals and bigger mammals, another elephan seal could do the job.
But on our little escapade to the beach this past summer (2020), the Korgo mentioned pelicans are mean birds, i have never seen proof of this, but they do look mean.
