Hey all!
I'm about to head to Virginia to take care of some family stuff, but, of course, I'll be working the whole time I'm there. One of the big releases coming soon is a compilation of our arctic adventures called Frostlands. This book already includes Yeti Caverns, Remorhaz Mountain, Frost Giant Pass, and White Dragon Caverns. It will also include a bonus orc adventure (we don't have too many of those yet) and a Viking settlement.
But I can probably fit one mo...

Hey all,
As I'm working on the latest madhouse of a dungeon, I got to wondering—should the trap-heavy dungeons be their own series a la Dungeons & Lairs, or should we just work them into the D/L series?
Are they different enough that they can stand on their own? Or should they just be part of the D/L theme?
Now, if I make it a new series, I don't know that I can guarantee weekly releases with it unless it was in a higher-rated tier (possibly something for our dear frie...

Hey all,
One of our writers, Alexander LeForte was kidnapped by goblins and is being held ransom for two electrum pieces. It's not that I can't afford 2 ep, but they want only electrum, so I'm having trouble finding some. In the meantime, we're going to need an adventure for this Friday which I can do pretty quickly.
The adventure will be a trap/puzzle heavy dungeon for Dungeons & Lairs called "Trapped Tomb." Basically it's an old tomb with lots of traps a la Indiana ...

Updated: Fixed the text-heavy cards by bolding the saving throws, conditions, and damage. Hopefully, this makes them a little easier to read.
Hey everyone,
Here is the full deck of 50 cards in PDF format. I need to add some boiler plate rules (i.e. "How to Use This Deck"), but otherwise, this is more or less what I'm thinking. Take a look at the cards and let me know what you think. I'll make adjustments where appropriate. Also, let me know if you see any typos or...

Hey all,
I was thinking on the design of the D/L cards and thought that they would look way better using a more "modern" design versus the old "MTG" format. Here's the spike trap card again, except I've made the image push to the bleed and removed the borders, which were making it hard to add in information. It still uses some explanation dialog, but now I've got the Detect and Remove DCs singled out just below the sub-category.
Let me know what you think.

Hey all!
I'm working on a *top secret* project which will be a sandbox style setting with a few mini adventures tossed into it. Kinda like Dungeons & Lairs' books, but the adventures are a bit shorter (2-3 pages each).
But what should the dominant theme of the book be?
Vote below for the theme/setting you like best.

Hey all,
Here's another mock-up for Dungeons & Lairs cards, this time a concealed spike pit. I've broken it down into its individual parts (trigger/effect/detect/disable). I'm debating whether or not I just write it all out, or use this format, or something else. Some traps, particularly complicated/complex ones, sometimes have lots of little doo-dads required in the mechanical text.
Other than that, the design is still the same. Typically, traps don't scale with level the sam...

Hey all!
I cooked up this sample card for you all to see. Basically, this is a simple encounter card in the scalable Dungeons & Lairs style. So if a party of 3rd-level characters entered the area and you drew this card, they would fight 6 skeletons.
"Dominant Encounter" refers to this being the "dominant" foe of the temple, which would be basic undead. Pets/allies would probably be simple constructs, and randoms would be everything from oozes ...

Hey all!
Groaaan... yes, another poll.
So, I just done had me an idea!
Since most of my Dungeons & Lairs adventures are based on the Chamber Contents tables from the DMG, why don't I just turn that into a deck of cards that you can randomly draw to populate an area?
How it Works!
All you gotta do is supply a mostly blank map (Dysons' or Tim Hartins' probably work best since they tend to be empty rooms). Then, each time the char...

As I'm tinkering with some project ideas, I thought I might see what you all need or want in terms of gamemastering. This Patreon was borne of the idea that most gamemasters needed some quickie adventures to drop into their games. We've more or less settled that with Dungeons & Lairs.
But what else are you looking for?
In the comments, give me some ideas for specific needs that you have, and I'll see if the team and I can't solve that issu...

Hey all!
I'm continuing to work on this dungeon tile set idea I've got cooking around. I'm basing the sizes on the card printing sizes that DriveThruCards has. Originally, I was using the 6 x 6 tiles. However, it was hard to keep things interesting with it. The next biggest size is 8 x 10. While you can do a lot more interesting things with it, they don't work as well for tiling due to their oblo...

Okay! So the first "prototype" of Dungeons & Lairs Tile Sets is done. It includes 10 basic rooms and has sort of a low-level undead theme. The next set will include some more rooms from the General Dungeon Chambers list (page 295 of the DMG), which will probably be:
11) Armory #2
12) Banquet Room #2
13) Barracks #2
14) Bestiary
15) Cell
16) Chantry
17) Chapel
18) Cistern
19) Classroom
20) Hallway #2
Note: Repeated rooms exi...

Hey all!
Over the last couple of days, I've mentioned that I'm working on a set of dungeon tiles. My plan was to take these to the next level and include room descriptions for each one, creating a neverending random dungeon. Here is the first sample set. I've put it into PDF format with bleed sizing for DriveThruCards. I'll probably turn them into .jpgs sized correctly. But for now, I wanted to get some feedback.
Let me know what you think.<...

Okay, folks! I have a pretty nifty idea for the return of Dungeon of the Week. Basically, I'm going to create a set of tiles similar to the one above (this one is lightened up as requested). Each pack will have 1 explainer card (with some nifty art), 8 tile cards (like the one above), and 1 room detail card.
The idea will be that you can collect all the tiles (print yourself or buy our sets which should be around $8-$10), and then you can create random dungeons as you go. You just place...

Below is a list of common jungle critters. Vote for the three that you like best. Top 5 that get the most votes get turned into forthcoming Dungeons & Lairs adventures.
I look forward to the results!
