Looks like we will hit Oz by next week sometime, probably Monday (fingers crossed, of course).
What major content piece would you like to see after that? Looking at 340 for the next target.
Throw out some suggestions in the comments. Then I’ll create a poll.
Thanks everyone for helping us get to this point!

It’s One-Shot Wednesday. I’ve got a single 10x10 tile I’m going to write up. What should the theme of the One Shot be?
Let me know in the comments!

Want to play Elsa in Fifth Edition? Well, now you can (sorta). As a warlock of the snow queen (snowlock?), you pull your powers from the powerful deity of the cold, the Snow Queen, pulled straight from the Hans Christians Andersen fable of the same name.
Enjoy!
This is the first time I've created a document using GMBinder, so let me know what you think.

Hey all! Starting off the month by asking for suggestions for today subclass.
The theme this month is COLD. So give me all your good cold-themed subclass ideas.
Thanks!

Yesterday, I put up a poll for exclusive content and what sort of things you want to see. Today, I'm taking the results I got and creating an official calendar for October. If things go well, I'll continue this format, letting you vote on what gets made each month.
Here is the tentative line-up I'm thinking right now:
Monster Mondays - Each Monday, I'll whip up some fun and/or creepy new monsters. Not only is Monster Mondays alliterative, but it also gives me a ch...

Over 15 pages of adventure await!
Something strange has been going on in Knotside with the arrival of a new brand of alcohol: Red Claw. Where did it come from? What is it? The fanaticism surrounding the drink has caused the town to fall to the verge of collapse, as men and women alike clamor for the spirit, turning to violence and crime in order to reach it. There are no laws while there's Red Claw around!
Can y...

Stay tuned.

The number of patrons here nearly doubled in September, so I thought I might ask all of you what sort of patreon exclusive content you'd like to see?
Keep in mind that BroadSword offers up 100 pages of stuff itself, including longer adventures. Still, I'd like to see where the mix comes.
You're free to vote as many times as you like.

The (mostly) daily PDF exclusives are formatted so you can easily print them. You'll also notice in the footer, by the page number, is the designation for the category the PDF falls into plus its name. That way you can organize them in a portfolio if necessary.
As I create more stuff, I'll probably create monthly Table of Contents for you to use as a guide.

Today, I cooked up some new rules for mobs that I'm testing out in an upcoming adventure. It uses some of the features of complex traps and mixes it with swarms.
Check it out and let me know what you think.

Hey people!
I'm wrapping up the draft for issue #3 of BroadSword and I need some suggestions for content. It can be anything you want so long as it doesn't violate IP.
Thanks!

Sorry for the delay, folks, but here it finally is, the "sith" to Way of the Mind's "jedi."
Ki Tyrants are fighters that can use ki to do all sorts of nifty things!
Enjoy!

I have this weird super power where I can focus on a single task for hours on end. Instead of content, I packed an entire pallet of BroadSword to go out this week.
Sorry to blank on content. But at least you know I was hustling and not just putting around 😂
Expect new stuff this afternoon!

Also, make sure you've got your requests in for September. The rules are in the "About" section of the page.
Also, make sure to put in your request for the winter stuff, too, if you haven't already.
Thanks everybody!

Hey all!
As you probably know, I'm in the middle of fulfilling BroadSword #1. So there's a little hold up on content for the moment. However, once my son, Jack, hits the sack tonight, I'll get to work on putting out some new content including that Sith sub-class I hinted at a couple days ago.
Thanks for being patient!

If you haven't heard the news already, BroadSword #1 is officially here and ready to ship out. There may be a slight pause on content over the next couple of days while I'm fulfilling these bad boys.
Looking forward to hooking everyone up with their copy!

Ever wanted to play a dog? Or a bear? Or even a chicken? In Fifth Edition!
Well... here you go. Now you can.
This is done in the Wizard of Oz format I showed earlier. Let me know if you find any issues or see any typos.
Have fun!

This one comes as a request from Joe P. who's been a gold patron for sometime and is about to head off for military training. Likely, you will immediately recognize the influences behind this subclass creation.
Expect an evil version probably sometime tomorrow.
Enjoy!

Can't sleep, so I work.
Here's another test page, this time taking the table of contents format from the front of the book and turning it into a Monster Stat Block for the winged monkey. I think it turned out nice, although the smaller format makes it tougher to get in more information (especially considering that winged monkeys are small stat blocks).
Most 5e books have 700-800 words per page, but these Oz style pages have much, sometimes only 250 or so (about the same as a regul...

I kept sitting and thinking about the munchkin race I made earlier. Something didn't sit right with me about it. And then it hit me: the D&D format just looks funky with it. If I'm going to go for Kitschy/Whimsy with this project, I'm going to emulate the entire thing the best I can.
So I spent about an hour cooking up this page in Photoshop for the munchkin class. While it might look like the original book on first glance, you'll notice that I've completely changed the content. Als...

Interestingly, Fifth Edition already has a "flying monkey" statted, which I pulled a little bit from. I've included a couple attacks for them and bumped up their hit points to make them excellent low-level bad guys.
The original monkeys were called "winged monkeys", they could take, and weren't inherently evil. They were controlled by a powerful Golden Cap.

Part of me wanted to make Dorothy into some kick-butt superhero type, like the version that was on Supernatural. But then I thought--nah! It's way more interesting that she's just a simple, brave 12-year-old girl from Kansas.
Hope you like it!

"... AS DOROTHY STOOD, MESMERIZED BY THE lovely sights around her, she noticed coming down toward her from a grassy hill, a group of the Queerest people she had ever seen. They were not as big as the grown folk she had always been used to back home; but neither were they very small. In fact, they seemed about as tall as Dorothy, who was a well-grown child for her age, although they were, so far as looks go, many years older. They wore round funny looking hats in shades of blue, and that r...

As promised, here is Strange Races. It includes everything you need to create a race, using a point system I put together myself. This is the first version of the book, so I'm sure to have some adjustments as I go down the line.
Also, expect to see this in BroadSword #3 in the appendices as well as in Buckler at the end of this month.
Let me know what you think down in the comments below or if you feel there's anything missing.
Enjoy!

Before I start digging into the content for the Wizard of Oz setting, I'm interested to know what sort of tone you all would like to see. I'm up for anything, really, although I'd prefer not to do gothic/dark (it's been done to death), but again, I'm a man of the people and frankly I just love writing.
For the themes, I'm pulling straight from page 38 of the DMG (flavors of fantasy).
You get one vote! And it'll end soon, so vote quick.

As we work towards 270 patrons, here's a little roadmap (a yellow brick roadmap, if you will) showing you what I will *try* to complete as we hit certain marks.
Keep in mind that I'm also sewing up the race book and working on BroadSword #3, so I may not hit these targets exactly BUT... hey, it looks damn cool, right? :)
Looking forward to it!
Just click your heels three times and it'll be here...
