New mass combat rules (and they're the bomb)!

I've been fiddling with mass combat rules for a while. I really liked the last version I made, but this version I feel really captures the essence of the game. And, in my humble opinion, is way better than those created by both Wizards and Matt Colville (sorry, guys, but it's true).

I'm thinking about whipping up some pretty nifty army sets for people to try out and possibly even a boxed swag set. We'll see.

Thought I might make an exclusive monster this morning (two actually). Here are pigfolk. What are they? Well, they're pig people. And they have clubs. And they hit you with those clubs.

The Vampire King Adventure Path - Help me pick the setting for part 2!

Earlier today, I posted the PDF to The Lair of the Vampire Spawn. It was created as a request from one of you lovely patrons. This month, that same patron gets to have another adventure request. Trouble is, he isn't sure where to go next with the story.

The Lair of the Vampire Spawn will probably bring four characters up to half way or more on the way to 4th. So we need to have a 3rd - 4th level adventure to follow it up.

[Wednesday Night D&D] What campaign would you like to be a part of?

Some of you have expressed interest in me running campaigns online which is pretty cool (and also terrifying haha). I figure to help organize things a little better, I'll start off with a call to action here putting the game night on Wednesday at 8:30pm CST to 10:30pm CST (or 12:30am CST if you like).

I figure I'd start with the pre-set campaign books. I just did Phandelver last year, so I left that off. I'd probably do it again if encouraged to do so.

A Quick Apology to Patrons and Bonus CTs

Hey everyone that's been a DMDave supporter for a while now! Last month, I definitely got a little off brand moving more towards Gods of Wandrossa content. Originally, it was supposed to be a catalyst for new content to allow for people to help create a D&D world. However, it appears only a slim majority of my actual patrons participates.

Creation Token Guide and Catalog

I thought I might whip up a quick guidelines for Creation Tokens for everyone. This are some things I've been thinking about a lot since cancelling Gods of Wandrossa yesterday.

First notes for my (quick) 5e science fiction setting.

Tonight, I couldn't sleep, so I cobbled together some quick notes for a science fiction setting. 

When I put together a "big" setting like this one, I usually just go through each and every chapter of the core books and figure out what needs to stay and what has to go. From there, I add in the new elements.

Hey all,

So when I'm feeling a little crispy, I don't take a break. Instead, I shift gears a little and work on something else for a bit. This helps "cleanse the palate" so to speak.

[Tier Benefits] What benefits do you want to see?

I'm going to be revamping the tier benefits later today, mostly removing GoW stuff. But I want to toss in some other cool things, too.

Man, this was a fun experiment. I really enjoyed watching so many creative minds come together and build something amazing. The entire thing was truly impressive and I applaud the effort everyone put into it! I could not have done any of this without you. Seriously!
