Up Early To Ink

I ink my work with painstaking slowness because I'm terrified of messing it up! The more detailed and intricate the piece, the more it feels like I'm walking on a tightrope when I ink it. It's weirdly cathartic-- there's nothing better than zoning in on a piece whilst listening to music or a podcast-- but it's also the most stressful part of the process for some reason!

Inking the Halloween Special

This is going to be a black and white comic, so hopefully shouldn't take forever to finish! I'm going for that 70's horror comic kind of vibe.

As I explained before, we're kind of in a phase of the story here where I'm setting up the grand finale. Where are MODOK and Red She-Hulk, I hear you ask? Don't worry-- they'll be back! And there is a very good reason I'm going on a long tangent with this Transformer.

Felt the urge to do a really sexy SH tf earlier on. I gave in to that urge! Might ink and colour this one, but I think I'll tone down the hair a bit. I was inspired by a new She-Hulk action figure that's based on her late 80s/early nineties look.

I'm not getting a lot of computer time at the moment, which is holding up my work. Hopefully this should change from tomorrow onwards. In the meantime, here's the first page of my forthcoming lycanthropic extravaganza! I've recently been watching a lot of Hammer Horror films and reading 70's horror comics that have influenced this.

The warm air envelopes Diane Hurley like a blanket as suddenly, unexpectedly, she steps back into the Savage World again. She had been only vaguely aware of the signs as she'd pushed her key into the lock of her front door-- the sharp tang of ozone and the almost imperceptible ripples forming in the air. Working on my Tawn/She-Wolf Halloween TF

Up early this morning to draw this before heading off on holiday tomorrow! Hopefully I can get thus done before the end of October!

Working Today

I'm kind of suffering from a lack of focus right now, just picking at various different projects and unable to stick on one thing. I'm trying to do another little Wild Girl comic, a tribute to one if my favourite characters Death's Head and I keep doing little tf sketches in-between. I'm going away on a holiday for a week and when I get back, I'm going to try to be more disciplined.

This is a little something that's been fizzing around in my head for a few years. Gabriella Carvalho helps an old woman who has fallen in the street. Red Alert Update

I'm fired up for this project in a way I haven't been for years! I think part of the reason I let it lie fallow for so long is that this part of the story is a protracted sequence where there will be no FMG or even cheesecake stuff (although, be assured-- there will be more of that later on). When my new working structure comes into play next month, I'm going to dedicate 1 day a week exclusively to Red Alert. It's a huge story, and the past 12 years of pages is probably only half of the whole...
