Inosuke sneak peeks!

I had two Inosuke shoots while I was at Yeticon - a serious (ish) one and a super goofy casual/swimsuit one. When your friend RicePoison drives the boar head and swords all the way to the other end of the province, one must use the props to their full extent.

I had so much fun... It's a pity it wasn't a little warmer, especially after I absolutely ROASTED in Toronto and Niagara, but I still got all the photos I wanted. 🤩

Sorry for my silence! I was con crunching and now I am exploring the big city~

I finally got to shoot in a fancy Toronto studio. 🥺 Big thanks to InfamousGRouse for helping out (and Dream Lifestyle for taking the photos.

I wore fashion and boudoir variations for both girls - I cannot wait to see them!

Also I spoiled myself with a professional makeup artist. 💄 All in all, a fun new photo experience!

Yura AND Inosuke WIP

Working on a very tiny dress and VERY GIANT PANTS-

I am so close to the shape I want for Yura's dress! So... close... I have to be mindful of so many things, including but not limited to avoiding flashing the entire Blue Mountain. 😅

I got excited because someone will be cosplaying Inuyasha's dad at Yeticon, so maybe I will be able to get a photo with them. 🐶

Yura dress and sword WIP

I hesitate to call what she is wearing a yukata... xD But it does cross in the front like many traditional Japanese garments.

Using scrap brown fabric that is the same brand as my stretchy black faux leather, I am slowly patterning out the top half. Yura has... a lot of bewb, and it is difficult to fake them in her outfit. 🤣 So I am doing my best to create something flattering and safe - this is the first time a non-swim cosplay has made it so I cannot wear a bra. I just had this wig cut at a salon, but I already might cut it more... The stylist was behind in her appointments and visibly stressed, so I left before I got the best look at the cut. It does seem like it needs to be shorter in the back and it's a little choppy, but maybe it's fine. Aghhh lol...

Sorry for my silence - I had a weekend long wedding and was taking care of my mum's place while she was out of town/visiting my grandma in the hospital, so I got a little burnt out.

I have mummified my leg and my arm in the name of cosplay (and it didn't even end up working very well, bit at least it gave me a start... xD), so I can check that off my bucket list.

Also apparently some of the Inosuke fabric stained my fingers blue, so that's fun...

Diane bunny WIP!

The skirt is on, and the lining with the plastic boning (except for some leftover steel in the front) in sewn in!

Studio previews! 🐱

I am so excited for June - I get to try out fancy photo studios in Toronto. 🥺 Here are the two rooms I will be using for new boudoir and fashion content of your favourite catgirls, Ali and Nia. (Can you guess which room goes with each girl? 🤣)

I will then be getting cosplay photos at the con later that week. I have a few Inosuke outfits planned (swimsuit, casual wear, etc.) and I think I might make... Yura of the Demon Hair from Inuyasha. I already have a red skull ready to go......

Bunny Diane WIP... still

So Easter and even April are long past but uh... I'm still picking away at this!

The skirt portion is sewn on now (pic 1)! You can see an idea of how it will look worn in pic 2 (sewn temporarily to get an idea of the shape).

I combined two patterns (pic 3) to make this, and I am so glad I didn't go with my original plan to fake the gatherings with awkwardly inserted triangles of fabric. I wish I hadn't spent so much time on that plan before I got sick. 😭

Further Bunny Diane WIP

Hello! Please enjoy my leggings and socks and sandals look.

It's wearable now! I added the zipper and tidied it up. (At the moment the top is just folded down into a better shape) You can see it photo #2 that I shortened and shaped the bottom. It's a scandalous length at the moment, but I will be adding the ruffle at the bottom soon.

In photos 3 and 4, you can see the lining where I have ironed on interfacing and am now stitching on bias tape. It will form channels for the corse...

BUNNY DIANE WIP

I am currently ironing interfacing onto the lining (and ran out 😫), but here's a look at the outside of the GOOD FABRIC so far. (Bye bye, Austin Powers dress haha)

I have decided on the approach for the bottom of the dress too (no more awkward appendages on the front of my skirt). It really bugs me that I got sick right in the middle of this - kinda lost my momentum. The photos may be a little late for Easter, but I will finish her. 🥺

Howdy, folks!

Sorry for being so quiet... After recovering, I am still low-energy, and it doesn't help that I am awkwardly working from home. My sewing room is now my 9-5 work space and uhgghhhhhh... I haven't even turned my streaming/editing PC on in weeks. Using parts of it for my "office." 😫

Anyway, then a mouse (or mice) decided to poop on my desk. So I have been cleaning, purging, and mouse-proofing the sewing room and my bedroom. 🤢

Unfortunate Update + Bunny Diane WIP #2

I have unfortunately tested positive for COVID after my housemates and I displayed flu symptoms. 🤧 I will be unable to send out the mail for a while (RIP the already late Valentine cards).

But I do have some bunny Diane progress to share! I sewed the mockup together and tested out the fit of the main dress. Now that I know what needs adjustments, I have moved on to figuring out how to add the pleats on the bottom. Um. This is why we don't cut the Good Fabric right away. 🤣

Bunny Diane WIP #1 🐰

And we're off!

I picked up some (questionable) fabric and started patterning the dress using the Yaya Han bunnysuit pattern as a base.

In my recent stream, I cut these pieces out of a scrap fabric similar to the orange material. I will stitch them together and test the fit soon!

In other news, I got some synthetic dye and test swatches for Marin Kitagawa's wig. I am going to try dyeing the pink ombre myself. 😬

It's practice for when I eventually get to this cosp...
